MLB 2021

Figured I'd start it since nobody else has. I know there's not a ton of interest, but I'm trying to get my interest started up again since I live about 20 minutes from the Texas Rangers home stadium.
Rangers have a budding star in Adolis Garcia. However, their pitching is god-awful. And the Rays. How do they always end up so competitive when they never hold onto anybody? Whoever is running that organization deserves some kind of accolades. ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I thought about starting one up, kind of a dedication to Paul.. We'd talk about the sox a lot. He would have been pretty hyped for this team.. Kiki, Verdugo and Dalbec look like the real deal. JD, Boegarts and Devers are sill doing their thing.. Got the Braves for a quick 2 game stand starting tonight..
Piss on the yankees..

Which is what made me such a big Joe Maddon fan. He held onto a core group of good players and took the Rays to WS.
Odd scheduling this year. I can never recall teams having off days on Fridays. It's already happened a few weeks now.

Was great to see a packed Fenway Park last night, even though they've been battling some pretty heavy rain here and there. Still great to see..

May have to go check out the Rangers new park next weekend. The Rays are in town.

Man, I don't know if anybody saw this or heard about it. But I hope the guy is OK.
Warning: this can be tough to watch. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/3156...ame-called ![]()

Especially if he started to shake and convulse after being hit. That's worse than what Pillar got a couple weeks ago. He got a 95 mph fastball to his face. That was hard to watch too, his face looked like a squished tomato after that pitch.. But you have to figure, the exit velocity of the hit ball was probably going faster than that 95 mph fastball that Pillar got. I have a feeling that we'll be seeing new and improved batting helmets in the near future. Possibly one for the pitcher as well. Maybe some kind of specialty designed hat with some kind of face guard on it.. Hell even the pitchers in BP are behind some sort of safety netting. Those Texas Rangers baby blue uniforms are horrendous.
I think Rico is attending that game.

Wow, he smoked this one. Take note of the pitcher's reaction as soon as he makes contact. LOL. Actually, just watched it again. Watching the catcher and the umpire is pretty funny too. I would bet there were a few holy [BLEEP] uttered.
I had my doubts whether this guy would be good after he came over. Very few Japanese players are as good as they were in their home country. Dude is certainly 'thicker' than his first few years. https://www.mlb.com/news/shohei-ohtani-h...3250573918 And while we're on home runs, how about the ultimate D'OH!! https://www.mlb.com/news/ke-bryan-hayes-...first-base ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users.
