I don't think nor want them going OT, but if they would be, I'd hope it would be for Robinson.
50 sacks per year in 2012 and 2013. How many thrown away passes? Batted down balls? One or two yard QB runs to avoid more sacks? QB fumbles, and picks under pressure....

Gee, how many quarterbacks do we have to take before we figure out the offensive problem ain't the quarterback?

Huh?

What makes you think Teddy isn't going to turtle up, too, or Johnny Football becomes Johnny Shoulder-Sling?

Maybe we should take the Teddy and Johnny sized crash test dummy and put that through fifty sacks? Can we do that?

Robinson is over-rated based on a lack of pass blocking skills. To take a player at three there's no way you can take a project. Tomorrow letters never get written, as they say.

Mort says he wouldn't draft Manziel in the first three rounds. Of course he also thought Matt Jones would have just come off his fifth Pro Bowl season, so I am viewing this as a positive.
Only a chump boos the home team!

Some people have their prototype QB and rarely move away from it. I remember him loving Brady Quinn in 2007.

Yes, we know. But this thread is what the Jags would do it Teddy was already off the board so it's kind of a moot point to even bring up Teddy.

I will say this. Of the three, Bortles looks the most like this prototype.

You know it speaks volumes when even TMD thinks you're off your rocker.

THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.

RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

Quote:I think you're high on Bridgewater. In a narcotic kind of way. You are describing Andrew Luck. If every scout and GM looked at Teddy and saw Luck, this would be a no brainer. I don't see that.

They say almost to a man however, that he is the most NFL ready. The most ready to come in and play. But how much do they improve once they are in the league?

I feel Johnny has a higher ceiling once he is taught to step up in the pocket more. He took off too easily in college where his rare physical gifts got him out of trouble. I feel his early career may be a little rocky (similar to Favre's), but if he can tweak his game a little to allow plays to develop before he flees the pocket, he could be a great one.

I feel Bridgewater is luck without the elite physicality

he doesn't have the cannon luck has or the strength and presence in the pocket or as a runner but mentally he is as good

They both have good pocket presence and read the game well whilst throwing with exceptional accuracy

The sole difference is that physical ability which is why I think luck was a unanimous elite prospect and Bridgewater isn't

Well, we'll see what Texas does.

If he's all that, they won't pass on him - especially since that means he could fall to us.

The whole state?!?!

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Quote:You'll get better value taking Troy Niklas in the 2nd round than wasting a 1st rounder at any point for Ebron. He drops too many.

As for the Jags 1st rounder in this scenario.....gimme Manziel or trade down if possible and then select Mack/ Evans.

FYI now Khalil Mack is projected as a top five pick, so #3 is right for him.

Someone said you don't like Johnny Manziel. Are you flip flopping again?
