Fingers crossed ETN has a sprain instead of a break. Neither is good news but a sprain is a much lesser evil.

Really depends as a break could heal quickly if it was clean. Sprains can stick around if not given enough rest to heal.

He should hopefully have enough time to heal before week 1 if it is mild.

1010 reporting ETN’s injury is likely a lisfranc. If so, he’s toast for this season.

More like just toast.

Was a really stupid draft decision, if it's a lisfranc then his career could essentially already be over before it even started. It's yet another example of why you don't put a guy that doesn't understand positional value in charge of your drafts.

If this is true, the injury removes one of the few guys on offense that could potentially keep opposing defenses honest.

If it is a lisfranc, that could possibly be a career ender, and will impact which WRs the team will keep this year.  Without his explosiveness, there may be a greater emphasis on speed at WR.

In a worst case scenario, and this is a career ending lisfranc, then it is beyond dispute who won the Ramsey trade.

Hint:  It wouldn't be us.

If it's a grade 1 Lisfranc injury (which seems likely right now), then that's a 3-4 week recovery. If it's grade 2 or worse, he will require screws (Hollywood Brown had this) and he will be out longer.

I don't think this is career ending.

Lis Franc injuries = you never come back fully and for a RB this is not good news.
You know you're dealing with a belief system when you get an emotional response.

Oh me neither. 

I know it's just preseason but man, my optimism sure feels deflated this morning. The offense looking stale, Campbell not being able to find the ball, Trevor getting pressured the most this pre season (which is true) and on top of all that..... ETN gets hurt. Not a good Tuesday.

I'm not worried about this being career ending, but this is very true. Guys who have this type of injury, no matter the grade, are never the same. Sigh.

hindsight is 2020 but criticizing a draft pick after an injury is just not a reasonable conclusion of why the player should not have been drafted

I've never changed my take on the pick, it's always been about value, the injury to a guy that plays a position with the shortest useful career in the league just reinforces that my take was correct.
