It would be sad if we got worse.

On defense we have Allen and ..... ok let me try again. Nothing to wow about.

On offense we have Lawrence and a few pieces, but nothing great.

Coming into this year I had a feeling we were going to be picking in the top 5 anyways. Lawrence looked goodbto me, lots of dropped balls, and there was no consistency with the oline. Our tackles are at best backups anywhere else.

This will be more of a 2-3 year rebuild, as long as the FO doesn't have a meltdown next off-season.

In my opinion the front office blew it this year and made a 2 year project into 3 years.

Lawrence "looked good" to you today?

I guess there was absolutely nothing he could've done to look bad?

He looks like his best days are ahead of him with a high ceiling. Minshew would have had similar stats but all of the points in the second half so it wouldn't be as positive.

This game other than QB potential looked like the other 15 losses starting week 2 last year.

That was my expectation for this season. Too many new players, rookie q.b., 1st year NFL head coach and just not enough overall talent. My hope is that Lawrence continues to learn what it takes for an NFL q.b. to win. This is actually the least of my worries. Meyer and Baalke need to do a good job finding talent to surround Lawrence with. If they do no better than Caldwell, Smith and Harris it will end up being a waste of the team's first true franchise q.b.

He showed more than enough to validate him as The Man. This team needs a better game plan this year and to be better in the trenches in future ones.

Yes played to what I expected, 300+ yards 3 TD's and picks. Didn't like the 3 picks. Good performance IMO. Lots to look forward too.

Dropped passes didn't help at all, TE's, RB's, and WR's recieving today didn't help at all.  Too many drops that could have made the game more interesting IMO.

100%

All of the drops and penalties on the OL stalled way too many drives in the 1st half. He started to press things right before halftime, trying to make some plays and ended up forcing some throws.

He looks the part for sure. He's the last thing I'm worried about on this team right now. He'll dive into the game film and fix those mistakes.

The biggest thing is that you could see that the splitting reps crap with Minshew all of training camp definitely had an effect on the Offense. He should have been getting all the reps with the ones and not with guys like Paroh Cooper and Treadwell. Totally worth building chemistry with guys who aren't even on the roster... That definitely played a role in why some of those throws were just a tad off target. A lot of it is all about timing.

This team has no grit. Tyrod Taylor looked like a Pro Bowler.

10 penalties for 82 yards... That crap better get cleaned up real quick.

Just wanted to drop in and say Thank You! to the city of Jacksonville. I didn't get to attend, but from all accounts it was a very pleasant experience and we (Saints fans) were treated really well. I know ya'll had a tough game today, but Good Luck for the rest of the season!

I loved the teal socks. Gotta emphasize the positive cuz there wasn't much else.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

We drafted defense using the top pick in the 2nd round, the top pick in the 3rd round, the top pick in the 4th round and another 4th round pick.  Below is the production did we get from those 4 players combined:

3 Tackles
0 Sacks
0 Forced Fumbles
0 Fumble Recoveries
0 Interceptions

FWIW, on offense, excluding Lawrence and ETN who is injured, we drafted a second rounder, a fifth rounder and a sixth rounder.  Their contributions?  One is no longer on the team.  One was inactive for the game.  One was active, but I don't think he played except on special teams.

That's not getting production out of your draft.

We shouldn't be expecting much week 1 production out of any rookie except Tlaw. Hopefully as the year progresses they develop.

The FA quantity over quality critique is fair though. We had the most cap room and instead of targeting day one impact players Meyer was laser focused on his beloved special teamers on day 1.
