Teddy Bridgewater is a legit 6'3 and 214, now hush.

Quote:He looks small because he played behind the largest, on average, line in college football last season. No thats not it either. Maybe he looks small because he has a giant melon sized head that makes his narrow shoulders look even smaller. The fact he spent all his time leading up to the draft trying desperately to put on weight and could only get to 214 says enough. The guy just isnt very big. Either you think that will be a problem or you wont. But to deny the fact that he is skinny for a top 5 draft pick QB is to deny reality. ________________________________________________ Scouting well is all that matters. Draft philosophy is all fluff. He'll get slightly bigger still in the NFL.
Quote:Manning vs. Brady? lol We would have brady, more accurate, incredible fb acumen, clutch, blackmon, cs3, donte moncrief, campanaro

Quote:The story comes from the fact that when you look at him on the field he looks like a wispy thin WR. it has nothing to do with scouts trying to nitpick. 6' 2" 1/4 and 214 lbs, is not a "wispy thin WR" in this league. Sorry. Quote:6' 2" 1/4 and 214 lbs, is not a "wispy thin WR" in this league. Sorry. Exactly. Top WR in this years draft Sammy Watkins - 6'1" and 211 lbs http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/samm...id=2543457 Quote:6' 2" 1/4 and 214 lbs, is not a "wispy thin WR" in this league. Sorry. He sure didn't play at that, and doubt he could keep it on all season. Otherwise, he would have, and wouldn't have had to bootcamp his way to that size solely for the combine weigh in.

Quote:He sure didn't play at that, and doubt he could keep it on all season. I know he looked lighter than that to me when I watched him during the season too, but perhaps it was an optical illusion as I also did not think he was 6' 2" .25, either....and all the "boot camp" in the world isn't going to make him any taller at this point... He'll settle back in the 225-230 range and possibly even more no problem. Quote:Can you show me a link anywhere that backs up this post? I'd be curious to read it.Lol, Pirk with facts or links? If I didn't know any better I'd think you were new around here. Quote:Can you show me a link anywhere that backs up this post? I'd be curious to read it. He said in an interview that he didnt throw at the combine because he spent his time leading up to it focusing on putting on some weight. Part of the story he is telling is that his jaw surgery at the end of his sophomore season caused him to lose some weight and that he never was able to put it all back on. which sounds a little bogus but I dont blame him for using it. Just look at clips of him. He is a skinny guy with a narrow frame. He just is. Two months of him stuffing his face to put on as much weight as possible isnt going to change that. The question isnt whether he is skinny or not. The question is do you think that is an issue. And while I like him more than Bortles and Manziel, his narrow build definitely makes me hesitant to use the 3rd overall pick on him. ________________________________________________ Scouting well is all that matters. If I didn't know any better I'd think you were new around here. I really would be interested in seeing it because everything I've heard is that Teddy actually lost weight prior to this past season and obviously has to work to gain it back. What also impresses me, from the photos I've seen, is that the weight he has gained back seems to be muscle mass. Anyone that's tried to gain more than a few pounds of muscle mass knows 1) Unless you were blessed with some top notch genetics its typically not easy to do. 2) you don't gain lean muscle mass like he appeared to have done by just "stuffing your face" you have to eat right and bust your hump in the gym week in and week out. Him gaining that mass before the combine should be seen as a positive in my eyes. I missed that interview, thanks. If he really had the jaw surgery I could see that being a big reason for the slight weight. You can't eat the way you need to in order to maintain or build muscle mass. You're going to drop weight almost guaranteed. I can believe that it would be difficult to put on legitimate muscle mass in season for him too. What I need to know is what he played at and how much he actually put on since the end of the season. Personally I've always thought Teddy looked bigger than people said he was, not big, but not a scrawny kid that people have made him out to be. The combine proved that for me. Maintaining the weight he is at right now shouldn't be difficult for him at the NFL level at all. He'll have top notch trainers, all the food he needs, and I've seen nothing to tell me he wouldn't put the work in to do it. Personally I'm betting he plays above 220 as soon as this coming season. I can see what you're saying about his frame and can't blame you for being concerned. It would concern me if it caused him trouble in college. I watched Teddy take some stiff shots in his college career and that "slight frame" stood tall in the pocket and took the hit like a man. He continued to get back up. Yet we have big bodied Blaine Gabbert that curls into the fetal position prior to contact and can't stay healthy. Teddy also has nice pocket awareness and that is something that we haven't seen here in awhile. He has the natural awareness to help him avoid taking too many shots especially if he can add some NFL coaching in the mix. I have no worries with Teddy or his frame. Quote:And while Teddy has a slight frame at least he has nice muscle tone. Manziel has a slight frame too and his arms and legs looks like toothpicks on top of that. Totally agree there, another reason why I would steer clear of Johnny Football. Too many reasons for me not to take the guy at the top of the first (personally I wouldn't spend a first round pick on him at all after thinking through it but I can see why people are hooked on the kid) for me. Far too large of a risk for that type of pick. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:I missed that interview, thanks. Adding back 25 lbs of good lean weight in right at one year seems very solid to me. He should be able to comfortably add another 15-20 lbs too. Him at ~230 is optimal and very attainable to me.
...they are standing in a semi circle... Teddy is closer to the cameras sensor than the guy in the middle so he looks bigger
