You think Shannahan, Carroll, Belicheck, Reid, Stefanski are out there doing this? My guess is that they are busting it in the office to try and get their teams off a 4 game skid if it were them. This team lacks the details in the game and it appears this could be a reason. It’s not even the BYE week. This is 2 days after a brutal Thursday night loss. As the leader of men, you set the example as a head coach.

The team just came off a TNF schedule. Everyone deserves a day or two off after that. I realize there is an image to project and Meyer was in a less than ideal venue, but to believe the coaching staff spends every waking moment in planning huddles is a little far-fetched.
It comes with the title. I hold my head coach to a higher standard than everyone else.

I’m not saying they can’t take breaks now and then but to go out there hitting on college girls may not be the right “break” to be taking.

No doubt, it was bad judgement. Especially considering the fact everyone has a camera now. His wife knew he was out but probably didn't count on the grinding video. Still, I think people are making much more of this than it really is.

Edit: This also begs the questions: What kind of bar is this? Did Meyer encourage her to dance or did she just approach him and start her routine? Was this a setup to make Meyer look bad? Some context would be nice instead of a 10 second quick edit.

Serious question.

You think Shannahan, Carroll, Belicheck, Reid, Stefanski are out there doing this? My guess is that they are busting it in the office to try and get their teams off a 4 game skid if it were them. If there could be any belief that urban were on the level of those guys then this sort of thing could be laughed off as him going to a bar after a late night of working his [BLEEP] off at the stadium.

However, this stuff came out pretty early in the evening, and he's not on those guys' level. Clearly he's not busting his [BLEEP] on film study and game planning until midnight then getting a night cap before he heads back to the stadium to sleep in his office. He's just out living it up because he's not actually a great football coach.

Khan hiring him reminds me of the fetish of certain voters to think it's better to put people in charge who have no experience in the field.

The good news is the Jags job will still likely be coveted by great GM candidates for at least a few more seasons since the hard part that usually causes guys to fail (finding a QB) is already done. Khan could bring a guy in and let him fire urban in just a few months, if he's smart.

Hopefully Khan learned something from keeping the previous clown shows around for years too long.

I'm watching the video and looking at the pictures and I seen nothing wrong. Lots of people jumping to conclusions and simply want to see the Jags and Urban Meyer fail. Pathetic.

Winning solves all. When the Jags start earning Ws and a reputation as serious contenders, the Meyer hatred will abate.

Maybe because he wasted some picks? wasted the FA money and all he has done in the off-season.

Some of us don't want to see him fail.

Yes lol

If it were me, I would push her off and tell her I’m married. See ya!

We are, by consensus, the worst team in the NFL coming into the season. There is no quick fix and it's doubtful any other coach could have done much better considering the quality of talent on this roster.

Do you seriously deny the improvement between the first game and Thursday's game?

For you guys actually believing that this will be the end of Meyer in Jacksonville, you're crazy! Remember the video of Jay Gruden looking intoxicated and being "handsy" with women half his age while he was married? We ended up hiring him shortly after that video came out. This is nothing compared to that video. It may look bad and it certainly won't help Meyer's image, especially to people that didn't like him in the first place, but I don't see it having any impact on his career in Jacksonville. I know that Trevor Lawrence is newly married and from what I've read, is a pretty religious guy, so the worst that could happen is that Meyer may lose the respect of the QB he so desperately wanted to coach.

Agreed. I didn't like the Meyer addition at all, but I don't want him to fail. That would only set this franchise back further and I'm sick and tired of taking one step forward and 3 steps back. This hole we are in, looks never ending. Unfortunately, I haven't seen a lot from Meyer that makes me confident that he can be the one that will change our luck.

You also have to take the video into context. We see a quick 10 second scene with absolutely no context. All we see is a girl trying to grind on Meyer while he attempts to keep his arms between them. You also have to ask yourself why would a young attractive girl start grinding on a 57-year-old man in public. Well gosh, in this day and age of 'look at me' social media, I think we all know the answer to that. Couple that with the picture of another girl who posed with a famous college coach and then stated, with no proof, that he was flirting with her, it's pretty obvious there's an agenda here.

It just goes to show that in this day of superficiality and misrepresentation, people will still fool themselves into believing what they want to see rather than engage in a semblance of critical thought.

Improvement from a squad that couldn't correctly line up for the first play of the season isn't all that difficult to achieve. Of course last year's squad wasn't penalized on any first line up of the game last season, so I guess we can say that Urban's offseason work made this team worse than last year's team at the outset. Nowhere to go but up from here!!!!!

Agreed. None of this matters to me anyway. I just wanna win games. Even if the people behind this video have an agenda, it's not gonna work. Unless Meyer gets caught with a dead hooker in his bed, this kind of stuff will have no impact on his career. It's all about how he gets along with his players and the wins and losses. That will be the determining factor.

I saw real improvement from the offense in the last game, but the defense was as bad as ever. Unless I start seeing some improvement from that side of the ball, I don't ever see us digging our way out of this hole.

I'm defending nothing, simply asking people to look at this video scenario and team conditions with an unjaundiced eye. I am impartial; I believe what my eyes tell me. Will Meyer bail on this team? His track record indicates that is a possibility, but for now I will give him the benefit of the doubt and not cast unwarranted aspersion.

Your disdain for Meyer is your problem. Not mine, not the team's, and certainly not his.

Only so much can be done with the talent at hand. Good acquisitions will change that.
