Had kangaroo jerky in Australia once.  It tasted like jerky.

Pure hype. Kangaroo is Australian road kill. The Aussies have found some suckers to peddle it to. It's tasty because it's been altered and processed, like burgers at McDonalds. Maybe the Lodge will offer raccoon, skunk, rabbit or possum with wine. Or maybe ratatouille made with imported exotic rats from Tibet.
