Tastes like chicken.

Had kangaroo jerky in Australia once.  It tasted like jerky.

Only baby roos, old ones are tough and chewy. Straight out of the pouch though...... mmmmmmm, tasty, the down under veil.

I had it at a place called Public in NYC, an American-Australian fusion restaurant. It was amazingly, amazingly good but everything was there.

Nope. If I'm dining out I'm likely ordering something I've had and liked rather than experiment.

Quote:Pure hype. Kangaroo is Australian road kill. The Aussies have found some suckers to peddle it to. It's tasty because it's been altered and processed, like burgers at McDonalds. Maybe the Lodge will offer raccoon, skunk, rabbit or possum with wine. Or maybe ratatouille made with imported exotic rats from Tibet.

I found this to be quite funny

Anyone eat a Jack-In-The-Box hamburger in the early/mid 90's?

I agree. I am going to need some free samples before I go spending money on it first.

Like my daughters, I refuse to eat anything 'cute' unless it's eaten commonly.  I won't even eat Rabbit, even though I know it tastes good.

Depends... how fresh is it?

I'd worry more about how something like that is handled, rather than how it's supposed to taste.

I've had it before. It wasn't terrible, but not the greatest either.

Nothing I would go out of my way to order again.
