If rumors are true about what has transpired and what the hold up is, I can’t fault Khan for having reservations.

Remove your personal feelings about the specific parties involved and pretend you own a business and have a high level position open.  You’ve interviewed several candidates and the top one has never done the job before but is telling you to fire someone in your building he doesn’t care for as a condition of his employment.  I think in most cases you’d tell that candidate to piss off.  NFL is different than most businesses, but the way you’d feel about that scenario probably doesn’t change regardless of the industry.

To add, Khan has to think that the situation here is good with having a franchise QB already on the roster, extra draft picks and plenty of cap space.  Why would you concede anything in negotiation to a first time head coach in such a situation?

Maybe Khan should look into the mirror to self evaluate. If he ran his business like he ran his team, he would be out of business. He has constantly failed to totally clean house while leaving personal leftover from one bad regime to the next.  Maybe Khan shoot figure out that his way is not working.

Tbh, when are Ian or Adam ever any different.  Its always a source or multiple, and in this situation multiple reporters reported it.  Your fight is with sportswriters etc.  If they are wrong or info comes out prematurely, so be it.  Acting like posters are wayy off base shows how out of the information loop you are.  If u twitter or social media idk, go follow gene f, edilla, harvey, A sullivan etc.  Yell at them for jumping the gun instead of fellow fans that are excited for the team.

I am not a fan of an inexperienced head coach walking into this situation. BTW many idiots were attacking others like me who tried to point out its not official. Besr believe I am calling them out on it. Regardless of how you twist it, they jumped the gun and Now they have egg on their face. Cut the BS they were wrong. Byron could still be in the running but they were preaching it was signed, sealed, and delivered with out an official source confirming it. 

I want an experienced head coach. I would be happy with Caldwell or Pedersen. Two coaches with previous success.

Khan conceded everything to a guy that had done it before and done it well only it was in college not the pros.  He made a mistake, realized it and moved on quickly.  It doesn't lend itself to Byron's situation other than the fact that it was such a disaster in such short order that he wants to be sure to get it right this time hence not wanting to rush to a decision.

Or maybe he came in with more than just "I heard X" because you know... he came prepared. He could easily point to the fact that Baalke has had five coaches in five years fired, and that it's not a pattern that leads to success. Or the fact there are players who just don't want to sign with teams run by Baalke -- which is an obstacle to bringing in the best talent.

If you haven't worked with the guy it's still hearsay about a guy Khan actually has worked with.  Is the exercise of putting yourself in ownership's shoes and removing the names of the parties involved that hard?

Also, the circumstances surrounding the 5 coaches shouldn't lead you to Baalke.  1 was Marrone, 1 was Meyer.  You think Baalke had anything to do with either one's firing?  1 was Tomsula whom as I recall was hired late in the process and was an internal promotion.  I remember thinking at the time that they'd be firing and hiring again the following season. Felt like a complete placeholder to me.  Baalke worked with Harbaugh for 4 seasons prior.  The only one I'll give you is Chip Kelly, but both he and Baalke were canned at the end of that year after a 2-14 season so it wasn't him firing Chip, they both got canned by ownership.  This narrative that Baalke sabotaged 5 coaches is comical.

Nothing normal about this though...  Literally thousands of people are telling Khan, whether he wants to hear it or not, that he needs to fire Baalke.  The only person against it is Snowy's dad.
He may well have knocked it out of the park for once with last year's draft, but he has simply been a large part of too much toxicity in the workplace for too long.  He needs to go.

Remember the general rule: it takes 10 "attaboys" to overcome 1 "aww [BLEEP]". In Baalke's case, historically it seems to be 10 to 1 in favor of the "aww [BLEEP]".

Starting the process over if it means Trent Baalke is no longer in the Jaguars organization would almost certainly be a better Jaguars outcome than the ongoing reported path. 

IMHO,  a good way for the Jaguars to proceed is reach out to Jim Caldwell to be a special advisor to Shad and Tony Khan.   Caldwell is the antithesis of Baalke from a team oriented standpoint.  Then Caldwell would lead the search for a new GM and HC.  I definitely believe this would substantially increase the chances of Trevor Lawrence reaching his QB potential with the Jaguars.
