Jones is the only one that can catch on the team and still had over 830 yards being the number 1 WR and being guarded by the teams best corner.  If he gets bumped to the number 2 WR and we get a good slot WR and Ertz,  Jones could be a good number 2 and put up around 100 yards with 10 TDs as he has proven time and time again.  He oozed better and better late in the season when him and Trev finally started to build a connection.

How much of that is the Jaguars passing to come from behind against loose defenses?  Do you seriously assert that defenses had to scheme to specifically take him away?

I know this is the last year of his deal, and I also know we can't hope to fix every position on the team in one off season, but for [BLEEP]'s sake, when do we get Trevor Lawrence some help?!?  Why are we constantly putting off positions that could actually maximize Trevor Lawrence's production for some future date that never actually arrives?!?  Need a WR?  We'll get one next year.  Need offensive linemen?  Later for that.

Though I liked Etienne coming out of Clemson, right now there is ZERO basis for saying he's one of the best pass catching RBs.

Agreed, I love his personality and will be great for our rookies.    I look at Griffin the same way for our defense.  I love his leadership personality for the defense and will be great for our rookies on defense.  2 underrated pickups last year.

Umm....... Jones played 17 games last season. 830 yards receiving is less than 50 yards receiving per game. Is that all you expect out of your #1 receiver? Seriously? Less than 50 yards per game would be poor numbers even for a #2.

He was our best WR because Chark was hurt most of the year and he (Jones) knew much of the offense.  Hell last year, Laquan Treadwell, a bust who was signed mid season, made a key contribution.

Jamal Agnew, a converted DB/special teamer, made contributions at WR.

Jones was the best of a bad group. Part of an offense that set franchise marks for offensive ineptitude.

There are plenty who could replace Jones.

I'd welcome Chark back.

Christian Kirk is younger and faster.

There are rookies that could have a bigger impact, but I don't trust Baalke to be able to find them.

Based on what? A hunch? Do you have any proof? Couldn't it be his improvement was because we started playing more zone coverage and that is best suited to his style of play? That seemed pretty evident to me and many others on this board. 

As far as mentoring, we had Calais Campbell here. He was/is one of the most well respected men in the entire NFL. In the time he was here, we had Jalen Ramsey and Yannick Ngakoue acting like spoiled children. Mentoring is for boys and girls. You can't mentor grown men who are making millions of dollars. They are gonna do what they wanna do no matter what.
