I'm not worried about money we have the 3rd most cap room in the NFL and we dont have any young players on the roster that will need big deals coming up.

And I bet most of the vets signed with be front loaded deals. So by the time even a guy like Cyprien or Joeckel is up for an extension the big bucks have already been paid.

Red is going to have gotten significantly more than you all think. Contenders like the Pats, Chiefs, and other were not so privately desiring his services as well, and with him signing before going anywhere he had to have gotten a too good to pass offer.

Remember there are a ton of teams with a whole lot of cap space, and in addition to that the entire salary cap got a near 10 million boost. Just keep that in mind when you see how much some of these guys get. It will look like a whole lot but it will mostly be because of a large jump in inflation.

All of that said, I think he got around 4 yrs, 28 mil with probably 12 mil guaranteed. Hope it's less but I doubt it.

Too bad we got him now that he's 30.  Would have been nice to have him in his prime.

Good deal, guessing he gets about $10 million guaranteed to cover the signing bonus and first two years.

You have to spend money to get better.. Dumpster diving for players at the Goodwill doesn't work.. I don't care if the player is 30 years old or not.. If he's got something left in the tank, than that's more than what this defense damn near has.. Spend away..

I hope its like henne's deal and frontloaded on the first half as to allow him to be cut halfway through the contract if things don't work out or we find someone better in the draft.

4 years 17 mill is ok to get Alualu off the field.

The same way DQwell Jackson signed with the Colts.  They weren't free agents, they got cut.
