woah 17 QB coaches rather have Carr then Manziel

(This post was last modified: 03-07-2014, 01:04 AM by JFF4Life.)

Here's the bottom line.  Carr doesn't belong in the same conversation as JFF.  Carr is a fringe 1st Rd prospect and JFF is a once in a lifetime talent and top overall player in the draft according to most experts.  Have a look for yourself.

JFF runs like Barry Sanders, sees the field like Montana, and throws like Marino.

Carr locks onto his first read and doesn't go through his progressions.  He forces the ball into coverage on every throw.  Those will be picks at the next level because he lacks the elite arm strength JFF possesses.

You're right. Carr has a long future ahead of him as an NFL quarterback. Johnny Alcohol will be in jail in two years, and he'll be enjoying life there more than he ever did life as a football player.

Looks like JFF is ahead of Carr on every ballot.  NO surprise there.  There's just too many haters and that's why he isn't a UNANIMOUS #1.  People need to take off the blinders and recognize that you don't need to be 6 "4" + to be an Elite QB.  The shortest QB in the NFL just won the Super Bowl the last time I checked.  JFF is bigger than Wilson.

Johnny's Arm is on par with Brees while Carr has similar arm strength to Ponder.

Wilson was also much more polished coming out with a stronger arm than Manziel

Besides he had a #1 defense and Marshawn Lynch to work with...

Okay maybe not as weak as Ponder.  Maybe on Gabbert's level.

Looking at both videos, if Carr plays like that in the Pros he will be a HOF, if JFF plays like that in the Pros, he will be injured a lot and be out of the NFL in 2 years.

Real question. Have you ever even watched football?

Have you ever, I don't know, looked at ANY clip of ANY deep pass that Derek Carr has ever thrown?

Yes I have. His deep ball hangs like punts and his WR has to wait on it. JFF throws a flatter deep ball that hits his WR in stride.

I'm sorry, I know I'm extremely biased against Johnny Alcohol, but I'll give the man credit where it's due. You, on the other hand, are straight-up nuts if you're going to tell me that Manziel has a stronger arm than Derek Carr. There's reality, there's homerism, and then there's comedy.

@AllbrightNFL: Spoken with seven of the top ten teams that will be picking in draft, unanimously prefer Carr to Manziel.

I like Manziel but there's no question that Carr's arm talent is better.

If you call throwing 2 yd WR screens better arm talent then sure I agree with you.

I watched the whole USC game.  Carr was not very impressive.  I agree with Todd McShay, he is a 5th round talent.
