Coaches in big time football and basket colleges makes 5 times as much as the president of the school does............but it's all about the education!
When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

Does this in any way hurt his reputation or his future bid to the HOF?

was he up for the CFB HOF?

I don't see how his amateur (or adjacent, in light of this story) exploits should have any bearing on his professional resume.

...gotta wonder if Tank was a UGA fan, though.

I’m more amused by UGA paying players that much money and it took them so long to finally win another  National Championship! Laughing

Sanford stadium in Georgia seats 90,000+  Those are all ticket sales.   These athlete's make 0 on that.  Some work on scholarships but most get paid nothing.   Injustice!
I mean I’m not totally against players being compensated, but a free ride in college is generally 40k+, I’d say if all they got from going to university was a free college degree, that’s still a pretty great deal. Ask the doctors paying back their 6 figure loans what they’d do for a free ride.

All of the star players get money in some form. It’s always been that way and it’ll never change. They all make good enough grades to play too.

In theory yes, but how many players have the time to pursue a degree that’s actually worth the paper it’s printed on because of the demands of their sport?
What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is agoin' on here???
