Is anyone else worried about us moving to London

#21

Don't see it happening.....unless a very unlikely scenario happens down the road.....we become a consistent playoff team and we don't sell tickets......personally, I think we become a playoff team in a couple of years and Everback is rockin' & rollin' once again

Nah...maybe we are BASED out of London and are called the London Redcoats or something, but having a team in London would be too hellish of an ordeal for other teams. Long plane rides, jet lag, etc. Not to mention, London teams will be at a bit of a disadvantage for street FA. Imagine the cost for any franchise and hassle to buy plane tickets for guys to just try out. We are here to stay for at least ten more years. People just like to think because we are not that great right now we are the chosen ones

Was wondering.....can you watch the Jags live over there?

Quote:Yep. We're currently putting the largest scoreboards in the world inside Everbank and I completely fear we're moving.
Maybe it's so we can see the London Jags on a really big TV. Tongue

In my opinion, moving ANY team to London will go down as one of the biggest blunders in sports of all time. Jobs will be lost because of it..

No, I dont see London really getting a full on team any time soon. I could see games happening weekly or bi weekly or something like that but it would be diff teams. I cant see one team having to deal with THAT kinda of flight schedule. But who knows... people love money.

Sure, we get 3 games on Sunday on TV, plus the Thursday and Monday games on tv, we also get RedZone on TV and have the option for NFL GamePass online which allows you to watch all your teams games for a flat fee. Gamepass is sweet (not sure if you guys have it) but it lets you go back 3 or 4 seasons and watch all the old games too.

I'd say there's a bigger chance of the Fulham soccer team moving here and that's pretty unlikely.  Smile

I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

If that happens, then there's a real reason to use the tarps..

I disagree. The NFL has shown interest in having a team in London and has had quite a few regular season games here. The BPL has never played a game outside of England/Wales and the idea of having a game abroad was condemned to the moon a few years ago.

Not saying the Jags will move but an NFL team in London is much more likely than a BPL team in the USA.

With no offense to our European brothers I hope Soccer stays across the pond where it belongs, not my "cup of tea" if you will. That being said the reason the NFL wants a team in London is because London wants a team in London, the NFL wants money.

At some point folks have to stop listening to those idiots.  For years, it was a done deal the Jags were going to LA.  Then Kahn got the team and that stopped.  Now, it's London.  What happens in a few years when the Jags don't move?  Toronto?  Mexico City?  Memphis?

True fan, respect

I feel bad for the spurs though, Madrid screw them badly

Too many logistical issues along with a significant competitive disadvantage. I feel that it may be difficult to get players to play there as well, especially if they have families. Not to mention the cost of living isn't cheap and the income tax for an NFL salary is in the 45% range, I believe (I could be wrong). I don't think this is something to worry about at all.

Not worried. Build the team, fill the seats, and no issue. Simple.
