I didn't see a lot of mocks that had 4 wide receivers go in the top 12 picks.  6 wide receivers going in the top 18 picks sets an NFL record.

I called this in the college thread somewhere. The most WRs to go in RD1. Deepest opening night at WR since 2014 for sure.

A large number of wide receivers going in the first round was predictable.  4 going in the top 12 was not.  If you did specifically predict that, good job.  Few others did.  

It has quieted down though. As of writing this, seven straight picks without a wide receiver.

How this works is: with everyone switching to pass heavy. Teams counter by drafting coverage CBs.

If you can't join them, go the opposite direction and catch teams off guard. Defenses so focused on rushing the passer and coverage, those players don't like getting hit in the mouth with a run game.

Wasn't that always the plan?

Pederson specialized in versatile TE and RB's at Philly, and balanced offense.

But Jags still need some good WRs/speed to keep safeties honest.
