A lot of these clips spoke more about the line than they did about Conner, but I don't think it's a bad idea at this point in the draft to grab a running back. And he did knock a couple guys on their butts. LOL

I see good vision along/w picking the right hole that the OL produced for him. He's definately welcomed at the position and hopefully he'll contribute to the potential success of our team.

I like trading the two sixth rounder for one fifth rounder.  As for the player, it wouldn't have been my pick, but we do need a running back.  I did think we would target a power back on day 3 as a compliment to ETN.

Although not a bad trade, I'm a little less excited about the trade for a future 4th.  You have to remember that it is with the Bucs who will likely be picking late.  We gave up a mid 5th pick and a mid 7th pick for a likely late 4th round pick and have to wait a year to use it.  Given some of the players who were still on the board with our pick, I would have been inclined to use it.  However, our future selves will probably be happy to have the extra 4th round pick.

I mean, we pissed away our chances at offense when we didn't trade up in the 2nd.  We have no reason to draft a WR at this point.  Guess we just take some late fliers at IOL and call it a day.

Not super pleased with the draft tbh.  But maybe we'll trade for one of these disgruntled WRs.

I can't disagree with you. I'm not overwhelmed with our picks. Maybe not quite underwhelmed . . . maybe just whelmed. I really wanted a WR or lineman with the upper picks. Got a center, later in the draft. OK. 

I guess our defense will be better - damn well better be - but I think this draft will ultimately be seen as yet another year of missed opportunities.

I don't think it's that bad. This draft class this year in general is really not all that great. Gaining a future pick in next year's draft is actually pretty smart. Virtually every player they have selected will be a starter at some point or will be in a rotational setting. 

I didn't say the whole draft was depressing, I said our trades are depressing. We turned 7 assets including our second best asset into a good LB, a short yardage back, and like a 15 pick upgrade on day 3 a year later. That's...less than ideal.

The entirety of our helping Trevor this draft so far has been giving him a C who can't move. We had perhaps the slowest offense in the league before the draft and we have only gotten slower.

A kicker and 2 punters went in the 4th round there is obviously no quality depth in this draft , be happy with our early selections and on to the season, the wide receivers didn’t fall to us I’m glad we didn’t get desperate and stayed with who we had valued highest. You can’t fill every need in one off season. Yes we’re obviously thin at wide receiver but our roster as a whole looks a lot more competitive after the draft and free agency

I agree.  I opened the day by giving my opinion that day 3 is about looking at your 53 man roster.  Given the location of our last two picks, I think kicker and interior offensive lineman are the two positions most likely to make the roster and help the team.  Maybe another running back.

I hear people mentioning wide receiver, but we needed a starter or at least a quality role player.  At picks #197 and #223, the realistic expectation is third string or special teamer.  I think we've already missed the boat for what we needed at wide receiver.

I like the snoop pick personally . Seems like a productive back. Will be essential to have depth there. Though I question walker over hutch, the point is having a decent defense and running attack does help Trevor by allowing for more control of the clock and less obvious passing situations.

Yeah, all of Walker, Lloyd (including the trade), and Muma look like good picks in isolation. However, when you look at the draft as a cohesive idea to try to improve a team and then consider the opportunity cost of giving 33 and 106 for a LB it's hard to say that this draft makes us that much better.

If we had kept 33 and 106 and taken say Skyy/Pickens and Kolar/Bellinger then traded the 6ths for Waletzko who we had in for a private workout it would be a far more well rounded and I think improved draft.
