QB David Fales

#21

Lol, he's way better than trunt says...but I fear his ultimate ceiling is QB purgatory along the lines of Dalton/Schaub/Sanchez/Garrard/etc. I don't really want him but I think he's along the type that Dave will want since he seems to be playing this out very conservatively.

Youtube his Stanford game. The guy is raw but he has great accuracy, decision making and can make plays with his feet. I feel like he's a guy who will benefit from riding the bench a little while.

David Fales means David Fails. Amirite?

Indeed, it is the biggest concern

Not sure who has the weaker arm, David Fales or Ty Detmer

You may as well start a thread listing all of the players you do like in this draft. I'm getting the impression that you don't want us to draft anybody.

Huh? Theres at least 7 QB I like and have posted favorably about and would be okay with the Jags drafting in the context below

1st tier

Bridge

Manziel

Bortles

Garoppolo

2nd tier (mid-late round picks)

Murray

Mettenberger

McCarron

How are you defining 1st tier? 1st-2nd rounders, I'm assuming?

Mettenberger was already slow before his ACL. Pretty sure Dave and Gus both want a QB that can use his wheels time to time to keep the chains moving and defenses on their toes. McCarron ... Have you seen his tattoos?

The 2nd tier QB I list aren't QB I'd want as sole options. they are QB I'd want in addition to one of the QB listed in the 1st tier.

Mettenberger as a developmental QB would be fine.

Looks pretty reasonable. I'd add the kid out of Wyoming (Smith I think?) and Fales to the Second tier. I'm not sold on Fales, but I can easily see the fit in our offense.

Fales is the guy I would want if we don't take Teddy.

To me, that sounds like settling for a Ford Fiesta if you don't purchase that Lexus

That Ford can get you to the same place as that Lexus. You might take a little heat from your buds but you'll be able to afford some of the finer things in life while they eat ketchup sandwiches.

He's so much better than McCarron though, not remotely close.
