Hedge funds are an important part of the economy, but it's not as if the managers hire huge numbers of workers at their location. Not a big deal where the guy chooses to live.

I assume if we work our way down the chain of command there could be other people that are worth 1 billion or 100 million, or quite a few million. This move could mean quite a few very rich people moving to Miami with all of their buying power. I think it could be more significant than you think.
