Sure, it would be stout vs the run, but not nearly good enough in pass rush.

THats not a great pass rush with Bryant/ Marks/ Houston/ DE as the front 4. 

 

Not sure where Houston would fit after the Bryant signing. 

 

Marks and Houston are pretty good at getting pressure.  Bryant is a locker room/stop gap kind of signing and Houston is a building block signing.  Bryant will give a few good years and help build the team in the locker room, Houston is someone who can be a long term guy and is going into his prime.

IDK why Decker is eww exactly pending on what type of deal we'd be talking. Not a true #1, but those aren't easy to find. Pair him with Shorts and thats a solid duo...than add in Sanders and Marcedes (2nd half of the year at least), that's a pretty solid set of guys for a rookie to come into.

Didn't realize the sacks were the only thing that affected a QB. My mistake. Again, he is a LDE, his job isn't necessarily to get to the QB. The fact that he is more of a run stopper and was still getting to the QB... That's a huge bonus for me. Let's try learning how our defense works, mmmmkay?

Jaguars dont play entirely zone like JDR coached team.  its a mix of man to man and zone. Jaguars change mostly to man to to man to use Revis skill land the D would just take off.
