Week 5: Texans vs Jags

Agreed. Getting tired of the fickle fanbase and the fickle media. Even Hicken this morning "The tinhorns are better than their 0 - 3 - 1 record". Okay, we can play that same game then [BLEEP].

The Jaguars are wayyyyyy better than their 2 - 2 record if that's the case. There's no reason to believe this team can't get it done this Sunday against the tinhorns. This is a new coaching staff with new players.

The past is the past. [BLEEP] changes constantly in the NFL.

Is it, or have we just lost a lot of games over the past 4 years?

If this is true, we will never be good in bad weather.  You can't just throw the ball around the field in bad rain and 17 mph wind.  He has also said he listens to is coaches so I hope next time his coaches are in is ear saying we need to run the ball and remind him of the bad weather.

I didn't rewatch this on the all-22 so I could be wrong, but I also felt like it was in the vicinity enough from what I could tell on the broadcast angle that if Agnew saw it coming the whole way he could have properly laid out for it and had a chance.
If it was a nice day out sure, but it was heavy rain and up to 20 mph winds, that's not fine under those conditions.
The Jags didn't lose that game because they didn't run the ball. They lost because of 4 fumbles and some of those were from the snap. I mean JRob even fumbled but it was luckily bounced into Kirks arms.

The Jags are moving the ball well and they're scoring points. I hope Doug doesn't change a single thing and keeps doing what he wants regardless of weather.

One game at a time. I hope the home crowd is pumped up and ready.

There is not a lot the coach can do when the qb fumbles 4 times in the rain. Just a rough game in bad conditions that needs to be a learning experience. Is it possible to practice holding on to a wet ball with a sprinkler or something, lol.

I disagree, 4 of those turnovers would of been avoided by handing the ball off to the RB.  You might like the idea of throwing the ball around in a monsoon and up to 20 mph wind but you won't win that way.  I think you are one of the few that likes the game plan of throwing it more than passing in horrible weather conditions, it's not very smart.

If that's true, then the same should apply to the special teams. Kick a long FG regardless of whether or not you are kicking into a 30 MPH crosswind or not. C'mon man....

I don’t remember ever winning a game when that uniform was worn. Then again, we’ve lost so many games there’s probably a few in there when the team wore feather boas. They’ve all become a blur.

You’re correct we’re now 0-6 in that uniform from what I saw on Twitter, but I don’t mind the combo and it’s a little misleading of a stat when prior to this year we were 15-50 over the past 4 seasons and 4-29 over the prior 2.  There hasn’t been a lot of winning period.

This problem is easy to solve.  Just add the Feathered Boas as suggested. That should break any jinx.  Maybe take them off after warmups though.

When run calls are creating positive yards while pass calls are creating drops and turnovers, the split needs to be slightly more run than pass. You have to adapt.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

Lol Field Goals are totally different considering how the ball spins. The wind effects field goals much more than it does passes. Common sense....

JRob fumbled so what does that mean? We shouldn't hand him the ball? Trevor fumbled once by just running on 4th down.... Now what? He fumbled 2 snaps... now what? We shouldn't snap the ball?

I'm also not advocating for "throwing the ball around". What I am advocating for is the continuation of a gameplan (which is exactly what Pederson said mind you) that the team implemented. C'mon man.....

Fluke things happen in weather conditions like that. Trevor is unlikely to ever have a fumbling game like that.

Can we just please go with teal as a our main color? So many teams wear white (or black). Teal is what separates us as a unique team plus it looks dope

Nay! What could be more fabulous than JRob sprinting into the endzone with a splendid teal boa streaming behind him?

This is what I've been saying. Doug went off the rails in the 2nd quarter by not continuing with the balance that was working so well up to that point. Maybe he was intentionally stressing Lawrence to find a breaking point. Maybe he thought Lawrence could handle it. Maybe he was texting his mistress on the sidelines and not really paying attention. But one thing is for sure, the offensive calls in the 2nd quarter changed and it drastically changed the game's momentum.

The high winds and rain still affects the paases a good bit its why when you see games in bad weather they usually run it more, the Eagles ran it twice as much as the passed it.  There is also a much higher chance of Trev fumbling than one of the backs.  I also think the game plan was to run it more than we did but it seems if our run gets stuffed a few times Doug will get away from the run early, it happened in the Wash game also.
