I actually wouldn't be that shocked.
No huddle short passes with Saquan busting a few runs is what I expect out of them. Can we keep up scoring against their D is what I want to see.

After all these years of garbage football, this year is good for me so far. Went to the Charger game it was lit. Bad losses after that disappointing but honestly we had an 8 point  lead or more WITH the ball in 3 of those losses. Team is young. I'll be out for the Vegas game. Sec 210. Go Jags!!!

I feel the same way, with the caveat of injuries being the main thing that could postpone that transition. 

I know many will call me crazy (and other insults) but I have enjoyed the transition we've already seen.

Lots of new developments compared to the past few years:

• We move the football very effectively in almost game (red zone being the hangup in a few contests) 
  
• We stop the run well consistently with few exceptions
  
• Aside from one game of too many flags and a few individual boneheaded penalties - we are a much more disciplined team
  
• piggybacking on that ^ the offensive execution is happening at a higher degree of difficulty and also doing it w/o all the offsides and illegal formation/ shift penalties we were accruing - pre snap motion on lots of plays has been effective against more than half of our opponents thus far
  
• Way fewer dropped passes
  
• Way less second-guessing of the play calling - yes we have some gripes - but it is nothing compared to what we've endured in recent years
  
• we have a higher percentage of young talented players who are bought in to Pederson's system 
  
• There is very little drama around the organization as a whole, locker room or individual players or staff 
  

I'm calling this marked improvement and I think the wins start coming as all of this rolls forward. Can't wait to see one more offseason of talent additions mixed in to get this over the top. 

I'm frustrated by the losses, but not so much that I don't recognize what has improved.

The defense is one player from being a good defense.

They don't have one player that is clearly the best defender on the field every Sunday. They need one. Either a Dog on the defensive line, or a corner that can shut down half the #1 wideouts in the league.

They need a real leader on the defense that can make a play when they need a play. They don't have that.


But... I still think this team is a decent middle of the road team in the NFL. I bet the Giants aren't thinking this will be an easy win.

Of course Doug wants to win, the players want to win, I want to win, we all want to win, but sometimes you have to look at the reality of a situation. Doug has also said multiple times that it's going to take some time and to have some patience.
