The road win in L.A and the home opener against the clots as well. I think we'll see more of that as he continues to develop and learn this system with Pederson and they become more comfortable and familiar with what they both see philosophically. Ups and downs is normal but if you watch these games and think he’s not the answer, then you don’t know what you’re watching. First time he’s had NFL coaching. First time in a real offense. First time being in a locker room that doesn’t have a coach throwing everyone under the sun under the bus. In year 2, there was a stretch where Burrow didn’t play well. Weeks 9-15, he only had one multi TD week. Then he exploded. It takes time. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! He's shown occasionally that he can play very well for stretches, he needs to prove now that he can do that game in and game out. Hell, he needs to do it from quarter to quarter. Then we'll know we have a franchise QB.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

The answer is the same as it was a month ago when this thread was made..
Yes.
If you took away the goal line INTs against HOU and DEN then I would be thrilled with his play so far in year two. We would likely have 2 more wins if that were the case as well. He’s getting there. He’s our guy.

Obviously 21 td 10 int isn't a good season by any means but compared to last year it's obviously showing that he can improve. This We show less advertisements to registered users. As I know you're desperate for a little check on that enthusiasm, it's important to remember that the Raiders' defense is:
* Dead last in the NFL for Oppenent Completion Percentage * Dead last for sack percentage as well as sacks per game * Dead last for takeaways per game and within a hair's breadth of being dead last for intereceptions per game * Second last for red zone scoring percentage against and, yes, THIS CLOSE to dead last for red zone scores against * AND, finally, dead last for opponent QB rating. By a long way dead last. That's not to say that TL didn't have his best game this year last weekend. He did. Every single QB in the league has their best game against the Raiders. Good quarterbacks play badly against bad defenses and then have their big games against good defenses. Kind of like Tom Brady vs the saints.
I mean - we can play this silly game both ways:
Trevor threw for 263 yards and 3 TDs against the bolts who are the 8th best defense in passing yards allowed. (10-10-2022, 08:01 AM)flgatorsandjags Wrote: Let's put all the back and forth to bed. If you're judging him by his entire body of work as a starter, he doesn't look too good. The Texans are winless this season except against us. TLaw threw 2 INTs in that game and had no TDs. The offense only managed 2 FGs.
