The fourth round pick they gave up to get him turns to a third if he is on the team by a certain date. Plus he supposedly has a huge cap figure. Teams may just wait Tampa out.

A third could be easily given in return for Revis after that deadline, so it still doesnt make sense to cut him.

It had something to do with the change to the new board.  I could never log in under the new board, so I was told to resubmit a new password request.

When I did, my post count zeroed out.

He'll probably just go to the Eagles, Patriots or Niners whoever pays him the most
fixed that for you, his track record makes me think he's concerned about 1 thing and 1 thing only

Jets traded up and snagged him.

If he came here he could at least stay in Florida with its

favorable tax climate.

It would be a hefty contract.

Do you think he would consider coming here?

Do you kick the tires on him if he would?

If we were closer to the playoffs, yes....in our current situation, no.

Do I think we should kick the tires? Yes.

I don't know that he would consider it without the team reaching out and showing genuine interest in him. For a guy of his caliber, I think you absolutely have to take a look at him. But it's as we discussed before; you make sure that he won't be tearing the team apart if contract issues pop up.

Absolutely kick the tires, but a team that's knocking on the door of a Super Bowl run will pay him more.

NFL Network reporting that reports out of New York say Revis is open to possibly reuniting with Rex Ryan and the Jets.

Yeah, but does the Jets' owner want anything to do with Revis again? He traded him because he got sick of Revis always being mad about his contract.

Revis Island now becomes Rhode Island.

Great move by the Patriots.  It didn't take long for them to overcome the loss of Aqib Talib.   In terms of risk,  what a difference between the contract the Patriots gave to Darrelle Revis and the one the Broncos foolishly gave to Talib.
