I think they need to play it safe and do something like this. Get you a solid veteran on a one year deal. Just incase you don't feel comfortable or are uncertain that you're going to get you a top CB or DE. I wouldn't be opposed to them signing a guy like Gilmore at CB and a DE like Chandler Jones. Should be doable on one year basis. Gives you some veteran experience, a little bit of breathing room and with Griffin's hit off the cap and a few other departures I think it's something they'll have to consider. Really hoping Darious Williams pulls his head out of his [BLEEP] though. We don't need to be in the market next off season for two CB's. He needs to be able to handle the slot and/or flex out wide from time to time but they absolutely need at least one more cover man that can hold the younger guys accountable and a veteran along the line that can help create pressure in between the tackles or around the tackles. I still think there's a good chance that Walker gets kicked inside and Lloyd gets kicked out to weakside next year. Especially if the grades keep coming out clearly reflecting their struggles in pass rushing and coverage respectively. So, fun off season coming up to be sure. I really think Baalke and Caldwell are both safe if they manage to split the divisional series or finish 4 - 2. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? As a Gamecock fan I would love to see Cam Smith become a Jaguar. I think it is a bigger need than WR rd 1. I think the WR room has done a nice job
