I'm more than happy to let Henry have 100 yards and 1 TD.  But if he goes off for 200 YDS and 2 TDs, that could be a problem.

Last game we played, he ripped off 100 Yards in the first quarter!!  That's how great the guy is.  But we basically neutralized for the rest of the game, and that's why we blew them out.  I don't think Henry would consider that game in Nashville a "good" game for him.  And I would agree.  I believe, even though the dude went for 100 yards, that we stopped him for the majority of the game.  To me, that's a win.

The dude is superhuman against us.  Giving up only 100 yards, when the tacks are basically worthless in the air, is absolutely a good thing.  But if Henry is running for 200+ yards and multiple TDs it means they are dominating our defense, and - like I said - that's gonna be a long night for us.

He had 155 all purpose yards in the game  - not sure where this 100 yards thing is coming from -  and he averaged over 10 yards per touch in the second quarter - he just didn't get many touches that quarter and then they were too far behind. 

Let me put it like this - If Vrabel/Downing had kept feeding Henry the rock in that game  I BELIEVE  he 100% would have had 200+ yards and 2 touchdowns. Even figuring in the 4 times he was stuffed on rush attempts and the fumble (at the end of a big gain) he was clicking of 7+ yards per carry and 11.3 yards per catch. He was playing great. 

The only two possessions we stopped him on were the forced fumble near the red zone and the three and out at in the mid 3rd Q. 

They abandoned the run for the remaining 23 minutes of clock. 

I don't think we stopped him at all. They quit feeding him.

I still think he'll need to have a career game on Sat. night to make any sort of difference, because I think our offense can produce more points than theirs. And I think we can get points on the board faster.

Gonna be wild here in Jacksonville.  All I know is that Henry has had our number.  If we can contain him, get out to an early lead, then we win.

But if the D can't stop Henry, it's gonna be a long night.  I'm saying obvious things.

I feel like this Defensive Front 7 is better than we actually give them credit for.  Whether we go 3-4 or modified, the the edge has to contain Henry and bring him back into the middle where we can go low on him and trip him up.  This is Mike Caldwell's opus.  He needs to make sure our LBs and D-Line are working together to suppress Henry. 

Henry wins or loses this game.  Same as it ever was.

I find it 100% foolish to reference what some other Jags team allowed from the guy as it has absolutely ZERO bearing on the game this week...  but since you bring it up, there are 5 games in our matchup history wherein he was held to under 4 yards per carry instead of the 7.1 we gave up a few weeks ago.

 -and the LBs are:

Shag Q at Will  -  Oluokun at Mike  - Lloyd at SAM

The Will is in spy mode 

Shaq Q only played 3 defensive snaps in that football game, but he played 18 this past week vs Houston. 
Maybe they are getting him ready to play that role some more?

The state of their o-line should help us in preventing a pass game from flourishing. That penetration you mention should be achievable with aggressive play calls. 

Vrabel will need to rely on plenty of smoke and mirrors / gadgets to generate offense outside of hard earned rushing gains from Henry. 

This matchup is stacked up well for the Jags to take care of business. Henry will get his, but it probably won't be enough.

I was at the Gator Bowl and seeing that stadium full and the lights on got me sooooo excited for the game Saturday. I may be wrong but I believe the last night game we had was against Miami during Covid. It was like 20% capacity. Saturday night is going to be a real treat.

7.1 ypc is for the whole game.   He had only 4 more rushing yards other than first quarter and the 1 run in the 2nd.   His ypc would of been much higher they didn't shut him down after that.
