Trevor Lawrence: Franchise QB (TL Discussion, Merged Threads)
|
People were worried about Lawrence's psychological state after the first half.
I think it's safe to say he's not rattled.
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

You could see the frustration and it was causing him to make some miscues. Whatever Dougy P does, he does it well. Trevor settled down and was the man in the second half... Trevor was 10-24 for 77 yards, 1 TD and 4 INTs in the first half.... but 18-23 for 211 yards, 3 TDs and 0 INTs in the second half. There were many people calling for Trevor to be benched in the game thread. A number of which are long time posters here. Hilarious

I was a little worried he'd be flustered, not so much because of his play per say but the fact that everything was falling in favor of LA. Both his first couple of Ints were a lucky tip, and a BS no call that was PI. But he handled it like a champ and came through. It's crazy to think he was 4 comp 16 incomp 4 ints at one point and managed to win.

I read the best review of his play today on reddit.
"Trevor Lawrence is so good he kept both teams in the game" We can also shut up the "he only had 1 td in the last 3 games" doubters! I also like that we can also throw out the "X qb hasn't ever won a playoff game." Even greats like Marino (outside his rookie year) have failed to win in the post season. Our boy a savage. No lead is safe. No half is safe.

TREVOR LAWRENCE IS SUCH A GENERATIONAL FRANCHISE QB...
... IN HIS FIRST PLAYOFF GAME HE SETS THE TEAM PLAYOFF RECORD FOR INTERCEPTIONS AND TD PASSES IN THE SAME GAME We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Yeah I agree with some of this ...
I can't comment on the performance but it takes some plums to have the worst half of your life on national tv and come back and replace it with your best ... Whatever happens from her on out that's a hell of a thing to be able to fall back on

When TL has a bad game and they chip in, let in it go “in one ear out the other” so to speak.
I think it’s time for some people on this board to pack their [BLEEP] or change their [BLEEP] tune.
He’s here to stay and it’s time to hop on for the ride and support him through anything or admit you are a troll and one game will blow everything for you. In which case you can [BLEEP] the [BLEEP] off #DTWD #IWATJ

Yep. 100% correct. Trevor was always the guy we all saw last night. He was that guy at Clemson. He was never going to be perfect, but he was never going to shy away from the moment. He overcame about the worst first half he could have had. Many would have thrown in the towel. He kept chipping away and never flinched. This is what a franchise quarterback is. At this point if they come back they should be banned. Obvious trolls are obvious
