we have alot of things change since the last game.

* Williams as 2nd Outside Corner
* Lloyd and Muma have grown
* The DLine has made a turnaround and have 11 sacks and tons of pressures in last 4 games
* Trevor when he gets comfortable is almost unstoppable and he is not afraid of slinging the ball

Defense needs to step up from our last meeting. Mahomes was hitting wide open guys way too often and then when we did cover well he would break contain and get the first with his legs.

You could call out the o-line too as we gave up too many pressures and sacks last time. We are playing different now, though. Let’s hope it’s enough.

• Doug Pederson vs his mentor Andy Reid - Reid has won both prior matchups - does student become master? 
  
• Kelce vs Jenkins/Herndon/Jags LBs  - be afraid
  
• Mahomes (do I need to elaborate?)
  
• Chris Jones vs Fortner, Shatley and a banged up Scherff - again - be concerned here and other chefs' DL guys rush well too
  
• Jags scrap patrol defense - can this scrappy unit find away to force turnovers like they did in weeks 14-18?
  
• Jags run game - would be nice to establish it early - chew clock - and take advantage of a team giving up 4.4 per carry early in case we must resort to more passing in a comeback effort later
  
• Jags pass game - TL will be under pressure quickly most drop backs. Gotta ID the right guy quickly and get the ball out. They don't have the horses in secondary to cover all of our weapons, but they will pressure the QB. Should hit the short and intermediate stuff on second downs where they struggle this year in order to move chains. 
  

1.  We MUST find a way to get Chris Jones blocked.  He was a one man wrecking crew the last game we played, and was a big reason we couldn't take advantage of the opportunities presented in that game.

2.  Offensively, I'm also concerned they could take a page out of the Chargers approach and call for very tight coverage, cheating on the underneath crossing routes.  I would hope we attack deep sometimes early in the first quarter to keep them out of that.

3.  Our defense seems to have stabilized since that game.Darious Williams seems to have setttled in outside at starting CB.  Walker seems to be improving.  So does Lloyd, as he's started/gotten more PT early the last two weeks.  We also seems to have gotten a better pass rush as the season has worn on.  Hopefully all of this continues this coming Saturday.  We've got to clow them down.

2.  I'm curious to see how the refs call it this game.  Will they let the defense get there a step early on nearly every play like last week?  Or will they actually call the early hits when they happen?

3.  As much as we appeared to stay in that game last time, the Chiefs looked like they could do whatever they needed to do on offense.  If they needed more points, I didn't see anything that would have prevented them from scoring more.  That said, our defense has definitely gotten to another level, at least in the play making department.  Hopefully they can make Mahomes uncomfortable enough on occasion to force a couple of mistakes that we can take advantage of.

Not just because of the wild card game crew botching a few calls, but because Andre Cisco removed a few chefs players from their cleats in the last matchup in KC. 
Will chefs players will be looking for retribution? 
Will they get flagged for it? 
Do the chefs favor Reid and Mahomes to Pederson and Lawrence in their leniency?  (otherwise known as the Brady effect) 

Keep an eye on this.

Jags don't have to beat them like 4 out of 7 games or something.

They just have to win one game. Stunning upsets happen all the time and at least one basically every postseason since like the Pats-Seattle Super Bowl.

They are riding high with confidence. Offense just needs to start way faster than they have the past few weeks. Maybe the game being an a day/afternoon game will help with that some.

Keep an eye on this.

Yeah they didn’t flag him or at least picked up the flag during the game, but he was fined by the league afterward.  I would expect that the league has made the officiating crew for this game aware of Cisco and the fine and to keep a close eye on him.  if so, hopefully they’re keeping a close eye on the chefs as well.

So, pretty much everyone outside of Duval County gives us no chance this week. That includes national media and quite a lot of message boards (although I never realized we had so much empathy in Cleveland, tho it makes sense). Even Nick Wright, who was one of the few nationals to pick us to go this far, is picking KC in a rout. Most are predicting a blowout. However...

1) 1st game was closer than the score indicated, considering we missed 2 FG's and had a TD called back
2) We are better now than then in all phases of the game.
3) KC hasn't been playing for anything for the past 3 weeks. We've been in playoff mode for 7.

Will we have to play a perfect game to win? Probably. None of the 1st half crap from the last game
Will the hostile crowd affect us? Maybe.
Will be need to be turnover free? We can probably live with one maximum. Ideally, we must win the turnover margin or at least break even.
Does ETN need to have a huge, 100+ yard day? Yes, to keep the KC O off the field.
Do we have a decent shot at winning? Absolutely.
