***Official 2014 Free Agency Thread***

Quote:Jaguars free agency acquisitions didn't even make NFL.com or ESPN main page. The only info that made the main page regarding the Jaguars was the Gabbert trade. Typical Jaguars front office, el cheapo. Only acquired a bunch of avg bench 2nd string players.

Guess we won't be seeing much of you anymore now that Gabbert is gone. We had a good run together... Sad

Funny thing is they will probably all start and I think excel.

Ouside of Den. is there any other team that has had a better free agency than us?  Tamp maybe?  NE, got Revis but thats it, plus they could lose Edleman.  When you scroll through all the teams I think Den. is the only team that has done better but they are building for a run at a championship this year.

We did very well I agree. Beadles was the only one that looks like an overpay and not by a whole lot...and getting a pick for Gabbert on top of it.

Also, Babin said he got the feeling Dave wasn't done yet either so we should stay tuned.

Is there a link to what Babin said? I read it elsewhere on here. I just wanted to see the context and how he said it.

Could he have been referring to sanders and Thurmond? Or others that may be on DC's radar.

And this year alone.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Congrats to Daryl Smith for getting paid.  One of the best, consistent players out there.

A well deserved payday for Daryl Smith,  one of the most underrated players in the NFL in the last decade.

Having said that,  time is running out for Daryl Smith to play in a Super Bowl.    The Raiders have a long way in their rebuilding program.

One note about the Lions re-signing Brandon Pettigrew to a 4 year contract,  as it's Jaguars related.    The Jaguars reportedly had interest in Pettigrew.   Before today,  all of the other teams mentioned in the article were linked to having interest in Pettigrew.   This is the first article I've seen that mentioned the Jaguars:

Pettigrew drew interest from the Jets, Raiders, Chiefs and Jaguars. He strongly considered a deal from the Jets.

But in the end, he's still a Lion.
