Great season guys!

The team is a big pot of potential, have some important pieces in place and some good young talent. Have to improve the roster in some areas.

Given where we were 'post Urban' ... Before the start of the season most on the board asked for somewhere north of 6/7 wins, to cut the blowouts, a bit of excitement and to show there was real scope to grow into a good team ... At times in the pre-season that seemed a lot to ask ...
Disappointing last night, ... Yeah ... But looking back they've done nearly everything that was realistically asked of them, and it's been fun to watch along the way! Thanks boys. Fortunately, the Denver game-the last in that strong-provided a catalyst to Trevor Lawrence's ascent, the team ended the season on a longer winning streak that got us the division championship and a respectable and most memrable playff run with the come from behind win. BTW, did you get the chance to see the game? Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
What a ride! From a quick start and high expectations to a 5 game losing streak and utter despair, followed by an unbelievable turn around, and a home playoff win. Thanks for the great season Jacksonville!

Their defensive secondary is very good. I don't know if we need better big men on the o line or if Doug just needs to use the running game we have better, but it's certainly a point of growth for next season.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

I refuse to become bogged down in could've, would've, should've discussions or nitpick this past season. My gaze and my attention are firmly affixed forward. We went as far as we possibly could with a young team and a first-year staff. Bemoaning what might have been is counterproductive.
Our path is clearly marked onward and upward, and that is where we should all be looking. Wear your Jags gear proudly this offseason knowing even greater times are ahead. Four takeaways: Jaguars positioned well to be a force for years to come (news4jax.com)

Spanner went in the works when our lass wandered upstairs and fired up about twenty new tabs on her machine ... Which scuppered connectivity! I didn't realise the first half had ended until I saw Butker kicking off for the second!!I Kept with it till the small hours here then got up this morning and caught up with all the highlights and replays i could ... Plus we've been out this afternoon to someone who has all the sky channels which show the games here so I could catch up a bit then ... Could really have done with that at any point in the last three weeks but there you go! When your lucks out your lucks out! Speaking of which, I was in a charity shop (second hand store) here yesterday and all all the things in there was a Tim Tebow gators jersey hahaha! Never seen an nfl jersey/ t shirt/ hat anything, here ever and then that pops up ... I knew it was an omen ... I nearly got a photo of it and resurrected the Tebow thread but I just didn't have the heart to do that to you guys!! Although now we're out of the running no off-season is complete without 100 pages of Tebow! Hope you escaped the birthday party too!

We went as far as we possibly could with a young team and a first-year staff. Bemoaning what might have been is counterproductive. I'm very optimistic. We had good luck with injuries this year, and we have a tougher schedule next year, but I don't think this is a 9-8 team. I think we can throw out the first half of the season. Then, add in Calvin Ridley, and get the expected improvement from our young players, and we'll be off and running. We had 4 rookie starters this year. If they all take the usual leap from year 1 to year 2, and if Trevor takes another step forward as I would expect, it being year 2 for him in Doug Pederson's system, and if all the other guys come back and work hard, I would expect a division winner next year as well, and it won't come down to the last game of the season. Rome wasn't built in a day, but it sure seems like we got halfway there in just one season, which is pretty remarkable. All of a sudden, we have a good team. I'm amazed at that.
Before free agency and the draft. Based on the schedule? I will say we're a 9 - 8 or 10 - 7 team at the moment in 2023.
I think if they can resign Engram, beef up one of the Guard spots and beef up the Defensive Tackle spot they could be an 11 - 6 or 12 - 5 team. They're going to need huge returns in 2023 from Walker, Lloyd and Fortner though. Cannot stress this enough because all three of those guys were all over the [BLEEP] place performance wise. Then you're hoping Little or Robinson are an upgrade over Taylor at RT. Then you're hoping Ridley is ready to be the Alpha of the WR room which naturally staggers Kirk and Jones into Y & Z roles for more impact opportunities. Then you have to hope Baalke can backfill a [BLEEP] abyss of emptiness in the TE room, DT/DE room all while also picking up immediate impact players or rotational depth players with all of his picks in RD1 - RD4. Yeah, no pressure. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? Doesn't it seem that the Jaguars are the only AFC South team that goes into the playoffs and wins at least 1 game...
For the life of me, I can't think of the last time the tacks or tin horns won a playoff game... We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Like others here while felt we had a shot at beating the chefs, wide open for the coming season!
Heck of a lot better off than this time last year! ![]() thank you, Shad, Team, and entire staff! The future is so bright we're gonna need ![]()

I think this run ending on a sour note is the cherry on top: no curb-stomping exposing a dearth in talent between the team and the upper-tiers met with a shrug and surrender, but some good "wait till next year" anger and an unsatisfied sense that more can be accomplished with discipline, determination and maturity/growth.

Til next year, be safe all you Knuckleheads!
I think we saw that Trevor can elevate the talent around him. The guy is only 23, so we have the major piece in place for this team.
