Blackmon in car accident

Tire blew out which can happen to anyone. How do you know he was careless?

The fact that he was out that late and drugs/alcohol were not involved is positive. Assuming He was out with friends and able to stay away from substances

Because he was cited for it?

Was he?

They have to if any damage is done. His tire blew out. May have been his fault or he may have run over a nail or something.

Quote:He's been on the team for two years and he's been eligible to play for 15% of that.

He's under the microscope of the league and he's out carelessly driving at 3:30 in the morning. This comes only a week after being photographed at a party with alcohol around. Dude is an idiot. I for one am done waiting around for him to get his act together.

You feel free to be as naive as you like.

I'm not being naive. I don't think he will ever play for the team again. I just think people are overreacting to something that could have happened anybody.

Quote:Blackmon, 24, was cited for careless driving, but troopers said drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash.

Investigators said around 3:30am Blackmon was driving his 2009 GMC Denali on I-295 south near Pulaski Road when he had a tire blowout. His SUV crashed into a guardrail and ended in a ditch.

I volunteer to be his driver from Friday at 8 pm until Sunday morning at 7 am.

Will that help keep him out of trouble?

Considering almost all of his issues have occurred behind the wheel I think it would help tremendously.

I see what you're saying, but I dont see it as a positive.  It's very rare that I've been out at 3:30 in the morning and some sort of stupidity wasn't involved. lol

Quote:"Careless driving" citations can be a number of things. His tire had a blowout, that usually happens when you don't change your tires when needed, and if the threads on the tires are low the cops are able to cite you for that if its causes a problem (which in this case it had potential to endanger others).

As I mentioned previously in this thread, I think we should just trade him and see what we can get. I think at this point he just needs to be on another team, because bad things seem to follow him down here.

It's a pattern bro.

Look I went to college and I have been a regular drinker since I was a r in high 11th grade. Not to mention I was a daily pot smoker for about a decade. I have exactly zero MIPs, zero DUIs, zero photos of me in compromising situations, zero car accidents at time slots that literally 98% of the general population are asleep, and I have never been in bad standing with my employer.

If perhaps every single other instance of him being an idiot hadn't occurred, this would be a non-story. Unfortunately that's not the case and this is just another instance of Justin making a poor decision.

No reason to be out at 3:30 in the morning, especially when you are being watched.

Queue Team Excuse with the stock naive responses like "He's a young man...He can be out that late...a lot of young men do things in the middle of the night that don't involve alcohol...he's allowed to have a life...etc etc etc".

So TMD makes all his posts at 3 in the morning I gather.

Oh I agree. Just saying there is potentially a positive outlook. I am sometimes out that late not drinking or anything. Just hanging with friends.

As many people have said nothing to see. Tire blowouts are random and could happen to anyone at any time.

Funny seeing old people getting mad at him not being in bed by 12 lol

Not me. Because I sleep at 3:30 am.

He's an idiot. This incident alone doesn't make him an idiot. It's a symptom of him being an idiot and a reminder of just what a colossal waste of talent he is.

How do you get cited for a tire blowout?!  It could happen to anyone.

Careless driving is pretty vague. He could challenge it in court and get it overturned easily.

I'm not that old, and its pretty frustrating that someone that can lose as much as him is still out at that time....
