Good lad... Hope they let him back el rapido!I
If they don't frankly Goodell can swing one, If 'betting is against the rules fine give the young man a ban, ... But he's served his time, he should be back... If he isn't the suits have a massive question to answer as to why they're holding him out when they're happy year after year to wave through fellas with minimal suspensions for p.e.d's in a league with a considerable brain injury crisis! I know which one most rational folk would consider more suspension worthy!
I have a hard time believing the Jags made this trade without the *wink wink* guarantee from Goodell that he would be reinstated.
He applied so now we just wait for Goodell to give him the go ahead. (02-15-2023, 11:12 AM)rpr52121 Wrote: How long until the league allows him to be re-instated? Would they hold it up for any reason? https://twitter.com/_John_Shipley/status...0800764959 His follow up tweet says he thinks after the Combine, so it'll probably be a couple weeks before he's re-instated. Haven't seen any have any real concerns that it won't happen, or that it will be delayed significantly. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
He will be reinstated;NFL is just dragging their feet as they do with most things.

He gave him an "indefinite" suspension, not a 1 year or X number of games stated duration, with the ability to reapply for reinstatement today, 2/15/2023. We all assume that Ridley's ability to reapply today means that it was a 1 year suspension, but it is no guaranty, especially given the integrity of the game violation. How severe a charge would gambling on games while getting diddled by a massage therapist be?

Indefinite plus 11 give or take a few weeks if they are playing the team he was previously playing for
What makes this suspension look even that much worse (besides comparing it to Watson's etc) is how hard the NFL is pushing online sports betting. They're literally in bed with Draft Kings etc.
I get that they don't want players betting on the games, but dude wasn't even with the team and the bet he placed was like 12 weeks after he left due to his mental. Wasn't around the team for months and had zero impact on the game in any way.
Well if hes a real jaguars WR like Justin Blackmon he will never be given even a chance to play while another WR (Josh Gordon) does the same thing and gets 45 chances.

Blackmon didn't want to play anymore, he never applied to be reinstated. He would have gotten more chances if he wanted them. We show less advertisements to registered users. Exactly. Blackmon never attempted to be reinstated. ![]()

The conspiracy theorist in me thinks that the suspension will be upheld because it was the Jags who traded for him, and if he had joined the Chiefs it would be uplifted.

Naw I think it's all but certain that he'll be reinstated, but the question will be when? The Combine is less than 2 weeks away and Free Agency opens on March 15th. Maybe sometime between the Combine and FA? Wouldn't be surprised if the NFL waited until after FA though just to be [BLEEP] hats about it. Also, when he does get reinstated, he'll instantly become part of the 90 man roster and will be able to have contact with the team (coaches etc).
