Jags trade for Calvin Ridley

Agreed with all of the replies. Fantastic read. I was already off-the-charts excited about Ridely joining our team and what he can potentially do for our offense and the development of Trevor. After the reading that.. even more so. Im so ready for next season haha.

Until then I cant wait until some clips surface of Trevor and Calvin working out together. Go Jags!!!

I can't with this team. I need to relax lol

Trevor being the leader and talking about how Calvin is a part of the family now. And then telling him how much he will like Zay and Kirk?! And Ridley playing with something to prove?! and THE TACKS ARE ABSOLUTELY AWFUL?!

Too much to handle.

You've said multiple times, replied to peoples excited posts, and wanted everyone to know how Ridley might not be the same player he once was.   What makes you excited now?

Such a good read. Sounds like the time away was good for him.

Dude put up 90/1400/9 on a broken foot... Absolute BEAST.

It’s not just Ridley. It’s the whole season coming up. I’m excited to watch this team win the division and compete in the playoffs. That’s why I said “team” in my post. Is that ok with you or do you feel the need to comment on everything I say?

I can be cautious about Ridley and excited at the same time.

You comment alot more on my [BLEEP] than I do on yours lol.  This thread is about Ridley and almost anytime someone brought up Ridley and was excited about Ridley you always wanted to remind that person that Ridley might not be the same guy.  Everyone on here knows there's a chance that he might not be the same player but there is also a high chance that he is.  Nobody on here said he's a lock to have a year like he did in 2020

Love how open he is being about his transgessions as it were and how excited he is to get going. Really have a good feeling about this.

Again. You can be excited and cautious at the same time.

It actually is possible.

You’re trying to create drama where there is none.

No drama, it was a question to you being you wanted to remind people he might not be the same guy every chance you got.

I don't care that he is 29. I'm not asking him to play 10 years in Jacksonville. If he can give us 3-5 years of high quality play, it will be worth it.

He's the perfect age. Still in his prime physically, and also mentally. Also has the experience to add onto all of that. I think he's going to be a great addition.

I seen today on espn nfl live that keyshon said that the nfl got it wrong with The ridley punishment. Interesting, The other panelists seem to agree. Either way, don’t take any chances! He missed football and is ready to ball out.

If we resign him @ 29 it will cost 20 plus per year and escalate the draft pick compensation from a 3rd rd pick to a 2nd round pick.

Oh noes!

Imagine if he plays well enough to earn a deal like that...that would be turrible.

Just last year at this time multitudes were banging the drum to pay 28yo Amari Cooper 20M a season instead of signing Kirk.

I like Amari Cooper but Ridley is far more talented than him.
