This. Lower priority, but I'd like to get a backup RB that can competently do what they got Snoop to do but maybe Snoop can mature in that role in his second year, which is why it's lower priority. I think the defense should be the priority in the draft. Target an edge rusher and a CB.

Jags have to aim at the chiefs and bangles. That means hopefully drafting a couple of special players on defense to help against those teams.

Or sniping players in front of them offensively. I hate to say this but it's horrific to think that the Chiefs or Bengals are in a position to potentially draft a player like Michael Mayer and Darnell Washington at the TE position. It's also possible they could draft a RB like Bijan Robinson out of Texas.

At any rate. We're damned if we do. Damned if we don't. My biggest conclusion after watching the last two, three years of play off football though is that, you need to get after the QB and protect the QB. Your QB can't find any of these skill position players if he's on the turf.

We need to replenish and start stockpiling the big bodies now early and often before this skill position group starts commanding even bigger numbers and you can't afford to keep them together. This is the exact situation the Chiefs faced and handled last off season with Tyreek Hill.

This is going to be the same exact situation for the Bengals here shortly with Higgins and Chase. You can't keep them all. Josh Allen in Buffalo is also pretty limited on the outside. All he has is Diggs and Knox at the TE position. I can't think of any big name players on their offensive line though. Same goes for the Bengals for the most part.

The Chiefs went out a year or two ago and addressed their offensive line while they had a chance. It paid off with three superbowl trips and two victories. That's what we need to do. It may not be the sexy pick but it's those guys that allow everybody else to look sexy on the stat sheet. More time in the pocket with a gifted QB often translates to more money for everybody else.

Bijan on the Chiefs wouldn't be fair.

Bijan on the Chiefs wouldn't be fair.

Right?!  I love their tandem of McKinnon and Pachecho.  I absolutely love how Isaiah Pachecho runs!

Pacheco was fun to watch last year. I think the Bengals and Bills will be in play for sure if Bijan is on the board. He fits an immediate need with great value there. Especially if Joe Mixon is in deep [BLEEP] with the off the field issues.

We have different definitions of fun. It was no fun watching him go 12 for 95 against us in the Divisional game. I love the way he runs, but as an opponent, I despise him almost as much as Henry.

I'm so glad we moved up to take Snoop Connor two rounds ahead of him.

Should have taken Jamaree Salyer. Still pissed off we didn't. He was a good player for the Bulldogs. Played everywhere along the offensive line. Here were are now a year later concerned with the LG and RT spots in particular and we just saw them extend Hasty to essentially fit the bill that Connor couldn't.

I hope we draft Tyjae Spears. He is my favorite back in the draft. He is so good.

It's a low bar.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.
