He got tagged this year because obviously the offer isn't what he wants again. It was rumored Baalke offered him a multi year deal last year but the 2 couldn't agree on a deal. Engram and his agent wants more than what has been offered. They both want more more, it's the same thing We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! He hasn't accepted the offer because he wants more money. He took a one year prove it deal because he wanted to prove he's worth more money. They are both about wanting more money You have found one common thread. Players wanted more money. That is a common thread in EVERY deal, LOL. Outside of that: ** Evan Engram asked for a one year prove it deal in 2022 and signed up willingly to make 5.2 million with a max number of 9.6 mil if he played in every game and earned the bonuses. ** Schultz in 2022 wanted a big deal and got tagged instead - he was pissed and skipped OTAs and made a stink about it. These are very different things. Fast forward to right now. *** 2023 - Engram took the prove it deal last year, proved it, then apparently asked for a bigger number than the FO is willing to pay. He is tagged - he is amicable about the tag and says he hopes they can work a long term deal. *** 2023 - Dalton Schultz got snubbed by his contending team and took a deal for one year elsewhere that is LESS than the franchise tag to play for a craptastic team after touting that he was looking for a long term deal worth 20% more than the tag annually. These are very different things . Hell, the more I look into it, the more these situations appear starkly different to one another in every way. And Dalton Schultz's misfortune lends a wee bit of leverage to the Jags front office. Like I said.

They are both about wanting more money Both players are definitely handling it differently, I never said they are handling it the same. Engram WILLINGLY took the one year prove it deal last year because he wanted more money than we offered. Both situations are about wanting more money. Schultz is now on the prove it deal that Engram was on last year. https://twitter.com/WhistleBlitz/status/...55233?s=20
That's terrible.

Looks like Zeke is getting some attention and narrowing it down between the Eagles, Jets or Bengals. Would rather see him stay in the NFC East.
Jets are already loaded with Hall and Carter. Rodgers should eventually land there as well at some point. The Bengals could use him with Perine more than likely and Mixon is in trouble. Hopefully he stays in the NFC East though. Already familiar with those teams, the travel to those locations, etc. Would be a good fit there with Hurts. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? Jags loseing Arden key to tittians will hurt the teams defense more then peopel think. he was a big part of last seasons defense. now hes gone. even then it wasn't a top of the line defense, nor top 10. our offensse will have to score 40 points weekly to win games with no defense,it won't be better without Arden. it was better with him. Wingard will have to step into a bigger leadership role now too for jags d to get better.
snowwolf titans owner in madden. note titans owner means im undeafted againest them.
I never really bought into Elliott i have to say. His first couple of years were excellent statistically, no doubt about it but I've always felt he's been a prime recipient of the automatic 20% boost to the reputation that comes with playing for the Cowboys.

DJ Chark to the Panthers. They traded Moore but now have Chark, Thielen, Hurst, Sanders etc. They have overall upgraded the offense

I think he'll be in the OROY conversation early this season. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. Almost 2 weeks into free agency, and surprised no one has signed TE Dan Arnold or WR Marvin Jones. I was hoping they would get decent activity to allow the Jags additional compensatory picks next year.

Arnold didn't get much opportunity in the passing game with Engram in front of him on the depth chart last year but he was a 400+ yard receiving target for two years in a row. He could be more viable in a team that is more TE centric. Kansas City, San Francisco and New England being the more notable teams in that regard. Marvin Jones showed plenty of ability last year even with Zay and Christian in front of him. He made several tough catches last year for Lawrence and the year before that. 529 yards and 3 TD's on just 81 targets is nothing to sneeze at. He would be a great addition for most teams. He's easily a solid three still in the NFL and can step into a number two role if needed in a pinch. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? Very curious to see how that Jags use the cap space they've recently cleared via Fatukasi's deal restructure.
Obviously C.Campbell makes sense. There are a few other rotational DL and Edge guys still out there. Nothing eye-popping, but potentially helpful. Outside of that - does anyone have a barometer on the DALTON RISNER market? I wonder what kind of money he's looking for? With Bartch being a question mark in terms of ceiling/long term starter quality - and Scherff going on 32 years old with an out clause after this year in his deal... They may want to spend a pick and sign a free agent on the IOL to stay ahead of need at RG and upgrade LG

Isaac Suemalo is generally considered a better guard than Risner, and he got a 3 year $24m ($8m/yr) deal. The Vikings are a team in need of a guard, and an article there speculated he would cost about $8 million a year. So, generally this figure appears the market 'thought' at the moment for Risner's value. The top 10 guards in the NFL are making a range of about $13-20m per year. His expectation may be above his value, which would explain his not latching onto a team thus far.

Houston released AJ Cann. He ended his Jag career in 2021 on IR with an MCL injury. He's now 31. The Texans had signed him on a $4m per year deal last year. I wonder if he has anything left in the tank. Is he better than Bartch?
