One of these days I'm going to try peanut butter, bacon, and banana on toast.

I think I'm pregnant.

On 9A and Pulaski at 3:30 in the morning - I'd say chances are he is coming home from airport after arriving on late flight from OK. Whats the big deal. Maybe he was coming back to Jax to make it in time for his drug test.

Quote:No, there must be something we can glom onto.  Something...

But...but...3:30am!!!!

I'm betting they already know what happened!

Quote:At 24 I had 3 kids, and was working full time.  But if I didn't, and wasn't married, I imagine I'd have probably been out pretty often that late.  Especially if i was making millions of dollars. Even then there have been times we've been out that late when the kids were with their grandparents.

Blackmon isn't married, and doesn't have kids.  It's the offseason.  Being out that late isn't really a big deal if he's not driving drunk.  Driving drunk is the big problem.  If he were drinking, and called a designated driver, would you still have a problem?  For example if his driver had a flat tire, and he was found drunk in a car at 3:30 A.M. (Under the assumption that he didn't violate any NFL rules in this scenario)

It don't really have a problem with it, I just think a guy skating on such thing ice is asking for trouble being out that late.

That was my first thought...cuz there isn't anything else exciting to be out on that side of town for!

Would it make a difference if he were just up early?

Quote:Here is another thing to consider too though, it's still 3:30 AM, and eventhough it was a tire blowout, what's there to say that he wasn't on his way out to perhaps drink some alcohol? I am trying to put myself in his shoes.

I am not a parent, or a General Manager, but that would be my first instinct and question anyways, "What in the heck are you doing out on the road at 3:30 AM?, you're a professional athlete, and it's the off-season, and you're suspended at the moment, where were you going and headed? And why? And should I now alter or adjust my draftboard?". And that's exactly how I would approach the kid, man-to-man. And I don't think Caldwell is just going to "shrug" this off. It still raises red flags because of the time of day. Like an earlier poster had stated, if it was 3:30 PM, it's a completely different story. But it wasn't. Just doesn't make any sense.
What if he is going through AA, was about to relapse, and contacted his sponsor so he wouldn't, even though it would have him out at 3:30 am?

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

Quote:Doesnt that make the thread dumb?

If I am a teacher and the majority of my students are dumb, doesnt that make my class dumb?
The thread "blackmon in car accident" isn't dumb. It had the potential to, and actually did, have some pertinent and relevant information.

Just because it is special ed doesn't make the class itself dumb. If you let the kids run the class then yeah maybe.

Fine.  It demonstrates his awareness of the problem and the fact that he made a good decision to seek help before he made a mistake.  In my mind it shows an increased level of maturity.

When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

I still don't understand what makes you think it's any of your business.

This thread has now plumbed the depths of dumbness.

There might be more than one.

Well there is....but none of it is legal Ninja

Not unless he was on a private flight.
