Because they tried to low ball him.

He was offered one of the biggest deals in NFL history lol.   You think 133 million guaranteed is low balling him?  Hahahaha. Sounds like he needs a new agent.

No.  They offered him his value.  Nobody else is ponying up either.

Spoilers: It's because he isn't as good as you think he is.

It will be interesting to see what happens next now that the ravens got obj.

No.

Nobody else is ponying up because they don't want to give up two 1st round draft picks on top of paying him a [BLEEP] load of $$. The Ravens know that, which is why they're low balling him. It's really not that hard to understand.

OBJ is an overpaid camp body at this point.

He's always been overrated. He made a few highlight catches and was once a WR1. Now he's a glorified #2 or even #3 but getting paid for past performance. That wasn't a very Ravens-like move.

Not the same there since Ozzie went from GM to EVP.

I would've tried to find a way to make them an offer for him.

They don't want to pay their star QB, but will give an over the hill, injury prone diva WR $15m guaranteed lololololololol.

....to tempt the QB not to demand a trade after they sign him to a horrible deal as well.

You love to see it.

Buddy, this is a QB league.  If Lamar was this all-world talent that you think he is, teams would absolutely be throwing the picks at him.

If the same scenario happened with a prime Pat Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, or Joe Burrow, you better believe teams would be tripping over themselves to throw 2 first rounders at them.

Lamar is now an oft-injured and unreliable passer.  It is what it is.  He is not some world beater.

Who said he was an all-world talent? And of course teams would be tripping over themselves for Mahomes, he's an alien. Burrow is a top 5 QB and you could easily make a case that he's top 2 right now. Those are stupid comparisons, nobody said Lamar is them. He is certainly far better than some of these other bums who have recently gotten a [BLEEP] load of $$ though.

Point is, he wins games and that's what matters in the NFL. Him not having an agent is definitely hurting him, but the Ravens are doing him dirty.

If he isn't knowledgeable and doesn't have someone he trusts telling him his real value.

Maybe Lamar is actually smarter than everyone and is just saving his fees for this year. If he agrees to a contract this year, he knows it will be lower and the Ravens would match it. He isn't getting the guaranteed money he wants this year. So maybe he just decided to skip paying the fees for the tag since it takes no negotiation for the contract.

I doubt it but maybe that was his plan since everything else looks like he has no clue what he is doing.

Laremy Tunsil represents himself and hes gotten himself two big contracts now. The most recent has made him the highest paid OT in the NFL. The first one might have made him the highest paid at the time as well. Does that make him a fool?

So if you were the Gints, say, better to give up two top picks and a boatload of guarantees for someone who has never finished a season with 100% of the team's starts, whose performance has trended downward, and you have no idea if he'll pick up your system, or roll with the guy who got you to the playoffs, started four more games, threw for 1000 yards more, and rushed for nearly the same amount, even though the other guy is seen as a "weapon" with his legs?

Save the picks, you have the opportunity to fix your mistake if you blow it.

Who else needed a QB that had ammo? Miami screwed themselves, AZ is destined to the cellar, SF could win with a tackling dummy at QB. Lamar isn't the trophy he once was, and Ballimer could be said to have done him dirty by tagging him as they did. I doubt they find anyone willing to pony up, and they'll be left with the decision to either pay someone they're not all in on or look poorly to future FA who don't want to end up in similar purgatory if they keep their heels dug in.

Nobody wins here. Nobody.

That’s harsh lol. Well, he’s got good hands.

I think if anyone makes a move for Lamar it's Atlanta.

With that said, I think he's staying in Baltimore.

I'd say he's lucky to be negotiating with one of the worst front offices in the League.
