NFL Draft Day 1 *live thread*

Trade down. If I can't then
Take the best o lineman with a 1st round grade available. If there aren't any then
Take the best pass rusher left with a 1st round grade. If there aren't any then
Take the best DB available.

In that order you'll get a 1st rounder if you have to make a pick.

I think they take Wright, Harrison, or Jones. Protecting Lawrence has to be the priority.

Just to reflect on my call from earlier today, Baalke followed my plan exactly. I'm glad he was paying attention.

Harrison is the last of the quality tackles. He’ll not only help us in the short term, he can be Taylor’s replacement. Protect the Prince.

Well…..looks like we were going OT all the way. We traded back some because the value wasn’t quite there after the top tackles went off the board. PFF rated Harrison as the 24th rated pick.

Well hopefully we trade back up early into the second round and grab a db

I think it's a need vs value pick. Cam may miss 6 games or more. If the team liked him then go for it.

Now take all those extra picks, grab a 2nd round pick, and get a CB. Then use the other 2nd on either a DE or TE.

We're thin on OTs. What happens if Little gets injured?

I think Lawrence’s quick decision making and pocket presence would have made a average RT look better ( Jawan Taylor ) I would have rathered they snagged a DB or pass rusher

Just feels like we tookem just because of cam.. think we missed out in some real playmakers but i dont know enough about him to judge the pick at all, hope hes good

What looked underwhelming?

Probably a little bit of a reach, but Cam really put us in a bind at the OT position and the OTs went off the board fast. They have ammo to move around tomorrow if they want.

This pick reminds me of when the Texans selected Duane Brown. It was a big guy in the 20s that had everyone head scratching as a reach but ended up being far better than advertised and had a stellar NFL career.

I’ll be honest I don’t know much about him but if he can play LG or RT oh man our offense could hit another level this year with more holes in the running game and more protection/time to throw.
Championship Formula:

1) Draft Trevor Lawrence!
2) Play good physical Defense!
3) Keep 91% of the roster healthy!
4) ???
5) Blank #2
6) CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

Yeah I think cam could be out 4 games.

never heard of him

welcome to duval ANT man

Didn't know much about him. For some reason I thought he was a right tackle in college. After watching this video, I love the pick. He's young, can play LT or RT, has good fundamentals. Gotta protect Trevor. So glad we didn't go slow nickel CB Branch; no separation TE Mayer; or Taven Bryan II Bresee. Phew! Dodged some bullets there.

Looks like he's more of a finesse blocker so RTs probably not his eventual home. Maybe swing tackle/LT development.

Dude didn't seem to thrilled about his selection by the Jags. Seen that before.

Thank Cam Robinson for this pick ... his mistake forced the Jaguars to go OT.  Do you want to risk having Trevor get hurt by having an injured Josh Wells protecting the right side?

Yes, left in particular.
