NFL Draft Day 1 *live thread*

Tyjae Spears would be cool later on. Short yardage was a kryptonite.

Nah, flagatorsandjags is a pro talent evaluator. If he says Porter is the best, then Porter is the best!

I'm okay with our pick considering the Robinson news.
DB and TE tmw?

We'll see.... good night
DB and OG if I was picking, TE isn't a need right now.

1. haha.gig
2. Witherspoon was gone in the top 5 so we had no chance.
3. The second best was Gonzalez and we didn't have shot at him either.
4. The best fit for what we need there, Banks, went earlier too.
5. FSG Masterclass. You should pay attention like Trent did.

You are a puppet and you have always followed whatever the mock drafts do.  Of course you feel that way lol.

1. Edge (no Day 1 starters left, unfortunately)
2. CB
3. OG
4. TE
5. 3-Tech DT
6. Edge diamond in ruff (maybe a Baalke Achilles special)

Do they have enough cap to pay them? Unless they are trading back up, the picks aren't worth much for players who have a high chance of not making the team.

Robinson was gone after this season. Regardless of the suspension. And for everybody crying for Branch or Porter. They are still on the board. We have the picks to move up to get one of them.

I am good man. Again, you cannot get mad for protecting your QB. Lawrence had the 2nd fastest release last year. Imagine what happens if Harrison gives him more time in the pocket with Ridley staggering Kirk and Jones down in the receiving core.

I don't see them drafting 13 players. They'll either trade up a time or two, or trade some picks for more next year.

I think you could go edge or interior when it comes to a pass rusher, I don't think anyone is going to start over Allen or Walker this year but I think a guy who can push the pocket from the inside would benefit both of them.

Keion White, Isaiah Foskey, Byron Young (TEN), Derick Hall and Karl Brooks. One of them will be a Jaguar tomorrow night.

Well, they're almost forced to play Walker outside since no Edge players are left on the board who could start. Ideally, Walker would move inside. The Jags better hope Josh Allen stays healthy and balls out in his contract year. He's the only legit pass rusher.

I think they’ll trade up and get Branch if he gets within range

Well, I forgot one thing: Devin Lloyd could bulk up to play D-line except in obvious run situations. He's an inch taller than Nolan Smith and weighs the same. If he adds 10 lbs., he's an Ngakoue clone. This solves three problems:
1. Walker moves inside to generate interior rush
2. Jags need a speedy edge rusher to complement Allen
3. Muma and Lloyd both need to be on the field

Forget about the broken branch. Ask yourself why he fell out of the first round. Maybe NFL scouts know something you don't.

I'd love a trade up for Porter, Cam Smith, LaPorta, Torrence, Avila, Darnell Washington, Mauch, Bergeon, or Ojulari.

Or, I wouldn't mind picking Ringo, Musgrave, or Foskey at #56. I'm sure half those guys will be on the board then.

Look for them to move up for a starting CB. And probably a couple DE around 3-4 round. Maybe even a safety.

Looking at the "best remaining," there are a LOT of good players left.
