Gus gonna turn him into a Pro Bowler hopefully. He's a work-out beast and was used in a 3-4 with the Steelers which he claims limited his hand usage. Now he's going to a 4-3. He's one of the guys I'm most excited about.

One thing I like about Hood's deal and most of the deals signed this week. Alot of roster bonuses. If they perform, you keep them and they get the deals they signed. If not, you can cut them lose with very little penalty.

Crazy to think Marks was a disappointment in Tennessee. He reminded me of a mini-Stroud. Was it the St Louis game where he had a sack and pass batted and tfl? He will be allowed to be more disruptive with a healthy Roy Miller and Red Bryant.

Yeah I really liked Marks but obviously he should be better along side Clemons and a healthy Roy Miller.

If Hood can take 30% of his snaps Marks may be even more effective with fresh legs.  Hopefully Hood proves good enough to do so.

Either way, his brother Robin will be here helping the less fortunate and doing community service.

Meanwhile, while you may be glad to rid of him, we are glad you kept the rest of your aging roster, including downward spiraling Ben.

So all is good. You be happy. We be happy .

This I believe will be his biggest benefit...Marks was overplayed last year because there was a big drop off behind him.

If Hood can step in with just decent play it will keep Marks fresh and be even more disruptive.

I agree Marks was pretty good but should be able to keep fresh now. I remember when Rob Meier used to give Stroud and Henderson a rest. Go jaguars!

Look I don't think this guy is trying to troll. He's just stating his opinion and giving us a heads up that this guy might be a scrub. You know we would all say the same thing about Gabbert on the Niner's forum. Hopefully Ziggy improves under Gus' scheme.

Yea but this guy is just being a typical squeeler fan coming on here badmouthing the player we just signed.  Its just kinda the way the post went not too classy.  The point is I'm not going to take my time going to Denvers board or SF board or Dallas board to badmouth past players.  Squeeler on buddy.

Quote:Hello to all. Steeler fan here. First of all, I have no ill feelings toward your team or fans. Your management made the biggest mistake of any team in the FA market by taking Ziggy-worthless-Hood. Believe me, you will come to regret the day he signed. I couldn't wait to get rid of this load. I have watched him for years underperform and not contribute. The man gets ZERO penetration. At the snap of the ball, he stands up, punches the lineman that's blocking him in the chest and then stands there an pumps his legs. He may make a tackle on a run (after the back gets positive yardage) but even those were few and far between. He was the worst first round pick for us in decades. I watch every game and I could count on two hands the number plays he's made in the past three years. So THANK YOU for taking him off our hands. I have never been so happy to lose a player.

Well, that didn't last long.   Steelers just re-signed Guy Whimper.

I think you need to vent the draft selection with GM Kevin Colbert.
