Bridgewater Pro Day
|
For those that said I was very wrong about TB throwing a majority of passes to wide open receivers:
http://draftbreakdown.com/video/teddy-br...iami-2013/ 0:04 - safety 0:24 - great pass (open by a yard or two but NFLish window) 0:46 - wide open 0:56 - wide open 1:09 - scramble play (great pocket presence as usually hits open man on comeback when play broke down...replay at 1:32 shows how open he was) 1:42 - incomplete pass on deep ball 1:52 - incomplete pass tighter coverage, but guy was still pretty open, not the best of throws but at least it was only where receiver could get it 2:01 - wide open 2:20 - wide open, but incomplete 2:40 - wide open 2:50 - great throw into tight coverage 3:08 - scramble 3:16 - ball batted down at LOS 3:25 - wide open 3:37 - scramble 3:46 - wide open, but dropped 3:58 - wide open 4:13 - wide open 4:26 - wide open 4:38 - wide open 4:58 - great jump ball throw....would be called YOLO if Manziel threw it....just saying 5:27 - wide open, but dropped 5:36 - good throw underneath the coverage 5:50 - throw into tight coverage, incomplete 6:01 - wide open 6:10 - great throw over tight coverage 6:37 - wide open 6:47 - good throw high and away from coverage, but receiver did have about 2 yards on the guy (replay at 6.56) 7:01 - wide open 7:29 - wide open 7:53- i guess that would be ok coverage, rb blew by his man after the pass was caught 8:06 - incomplete pass on deep throw with tight coverage 8:31 - wide open 8:45 - wide open 9:02 - good throw underneath the coverage 9:13 - wide open, but screen pass 9:25 - wide open, but underthrown 9:34 - wide open 9:47 - wide open 9:54 - wide open 10:04 - wide open 10:12 - scramble for TD 10:44 - good pass but the guys aren't even playing defense 11:00 - scramble, avoids sack 11:25 - wide open, overthrown 11:35 - great throw, but CB stumbled....wide open 12:02 - wide open 12:18 - wide open 12:29 - defense read the screen pass 12:42 - good throw to sideline 12:56 - sack 13:10 - good throw, tight coverage, defense has given up though And that was against one of the better teams they played this year. Other games are pretty much similar if not more wide open throws. @ Speedy G I will do the Rutgers game next. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
lets be honest at this point not many of us are being non biased when it comes to him. The few fanboys drove the others t not like him. I'm a big fan of teddy and even I'm tired of people getting so defensive when any critiques Teddy's game. He's a good prospect but far from a sure thing.

Quote:Right because we should just forget about his game tape and base our first round pick off a pro day.. right? Teddy B is the best QB in this class. Best QB in this class doesn't mean you are or should be a top 5 draft pick.... It only means you are the best QB in the this class
Quote:For those that said I was very wrong about TB throwing a majority of passes to wide open receivers: Teddy just knows how to lead his receivers better... Quote:Best QB in this class doesn't mean you are or should be a top 5 draft pick....Bingo! But god forbid anyone says its too big a risk at number 3! We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote:Teddy just knows how to lead his receivers better... That is probably what the response will be Quote:Remains to be seen, never said anything negative about him as a player. Just an issue with turning over the number 3 pick on someone who's"game tape" revolves around a bunch of low end teams. BTW, Thanks for proving my "getting defensive" comment right. That's probably one of his biggest problems. There's no "WOW!" factor to sell himself. Teams seem to like him, but no one seems to love him. In many ways, the pro day is somewhat reflective of his hype. There's more chatter than substance.

He does have talent, but not sure its miles ahead of the 15 qb's behind him in this class. Quote:If we were sitting at 20th and needed someone to develop, id be all for it. Quote:Clowney is going 1. That is for certain. We will plan accordingly. You mean like re-sign Babin and sign Clemons?

; Quote:Is he more of a game manager, or can he put the team on his back?I think he has potential to be able to carry a team in the future, but again its a MAYBE at the next level.
This pro day doesn't change my mind on Teddy. He's a top 5 pick.
Shock the world

Quote:Ya id say we are ready to get something other than pass rusher with the first pick Would be surprised if it was not a QB or Watkins Quote:Ya id say we are ready to get something other than pass rusher with the first pickI'm still on the Watkins wagon
Was top 5 worthy, is top 5 worthy, and will be top 5 worthy all the way until he is taking with a top 5 pick.

I just feel like this lack of excitement about TB proday solidifies that HOU wont get him at 1.
For me it's down to Teddy and Watkins wildcards: Bortles/Manziel
I don't buy the hype on Mack, do not trust Clowney. I think with the addition of Chris Clemmons our pass rush will be very much improved and of course we can go pass rusher later in the draft/next year.
