Bridgewater Pro Day

Quote:Most people on here know I've done more draft study than anyone else on these boards. I have decided through roughly two hundred hours of DB watching that Teddy is one of three elite prospects in this draft, and the best choice for the Jags. My avatar reflects that. I don't think this is something to brag about. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:You're SUPPOSED to kill it on your pro day. He did have a meeting with the Vikings before his Pro Day :whistling:
Quote:I said presnap. Manning was a better prospect overall, but not by a lot really. They are actually fairly similar other than the size. People are comping Teddy to Brady more and more, but it could be Peyton and not be too far off either. ![]()
Quote:Why? Most people watch a couple hours of TV or maybe a movie before going to bed every night. I watch a half a dozen or so cutups. So did Gene Smith! We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:Who other than me is from Kentucky? I don't know about them, but in my case I have said many times I am a Jags/Gator fan because my dad is from Jax (and is a UF alum) before moving here for a job w/ IBM. I hate both UL and UK strongly. ok pluko. Quote:Why? Most people watch a couple hours of TV or maybe a movie before going to bed every night. I watch a half a dozen or so cutups. About six months ago I asked the question, "Am I the only one who doesn't think Houston drafts Teddy Bridgewater?"
The laughter was deafening. Much of that laughter came from the QB guru TMD who was busy comparing TB to Manning, Aikman, Luck. We've come a long way. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:do Kentucky Here is the 2013 Kentucky game: http://draftbreakdown.com/video/teddy-br...ucky-2013/ 0:02 - tight coverage down field, not an accurate pass, imcomplete 0:15 - avoids sack, throws ball away 0:29 - incomplete, bad pass 0:37 - wide open 0:48 - scramble 1:01 - wide open 1:11 - good pass away from coverage on roll out, open by NFL standards but still good play 1:33- good pass away from coverage 1:42 - wide open 1:48 - wide open 2:00 - high throw into tight coverage....for Manziel this would be YOLO ball....just saying....yet again 2:13 - sack 2:27 - horrible pass into tight coverage, almost INT 2:58 - bad pass, incomplete 3:06 - throw into tight coverage, incomplete 3:18 - wide open 3:30 - QB sneak 3:40 - good jump ball pass into double coverage....for Manziel this would be YOLO ball...just saying ![]() 4:07 - wide open 4:19 - ball thrown away 4:33 - wide open 4:43 - wide open 4:56 - wide open 5:15 - QB sneak 5:22 - wide open 5:56 - great throw into tight coverage, only receiver could make a play and he did....would that also be a YOLO...who cares 6:07 - throw against tight coverage, incomplete pass 6:15 - scramble 6:35 - wide open, overthrown 6:59 - scramble 7:11 - great throw against tight coverage, but ball thrown late, great job of still getting completetion 7:22 - wide open 7:33 - deep throw, incomplete out of bounds 7:49 - is that considered a YOLO ball??? Any others??? Quote:Unless you're a professional scout of some sorts, then some would probably say you have no life.Well, I try to be an amateur draftnik and did some draft writing for a couple blogs last year, but I don't want to try to break into the real draftnik community like the up and comers I follow on twitter. Those guys put in essentially full time work, and make nothing to peanuts at best.
Mayock said that while most quarterbacks have good pro days because they are able to script the workout and are throwing in a controlled environment, Bridgewater's workout was "average at best." Mayock said he saw "a lot of flutters, a lot of inaccuracy."
Warner said Bridgewater had problems with his weight transfer, which led to some poor throws. "Accuracy starts with your base and balance," Warner said, and Bridgewater struggled in that regard Monday. "I have seen a couple of balls hang on him a bit," Warner said Warner said Bridgewater's mechanical issues can be fixed but that a question is how long it will take Quote:About six months ago I asked the question, "Am I the only one who doesn't think Houston drafts Teddy Bridgewater?" But, but, but we MUST tank the season to have a chance at Teddy. There's absolutely no way he's not going first overall.

Quote:So you're just proving how out of the loop you are. Good job trying to be condescending though. Not out of the loop, I have seen a few like Bleacher report and I think that is about it. People also compared J. Russel to Elway.

Quote:3:40 - good jump ball pass into double coverage....for Manziel this would be YOLO ball...just sayingHaving watched this cutup like 4 times, I knew exactly which play you meant here right away. I certainly wouldn't call that a JFF yolo ball. It was just a well placed high point pass. The defenders had no chance of making a play on it. That's a big difference between JFF and Teddy. They both throw a fair amount of accurate high point passes, but Teddy's are safe ones like this where it was either TD Parker or an incompletion. JFF's high points are literally 50/50 balls to a usually well covered Evans that Evans wins because he's a friggin monster. In the NFL those mismatches won't be as extreme and the 50/50 balls JFF throws will be much more dangerous. However, these two famous plays are yolo plays. I don't give Teddy positive evaluation points for either of them (as I wouldn't for JFF), as they won't translate into success in the NFL. ![]() ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. People who dont think Teddy is a top 5 pick:
1.) In what range would you pick him 2.) Do you think its more likely he is a total bust or mediocre ala Smith/Dalton 3.) What do you think he lacks that "franchise" guys have.

If you are going to say I am wrong....at least pull up the right game..... Also how is the play Teddy made into double coverage any different than the play Manziel made to Evans towards the end of the Alabama game. Evans had his guy boxed out and the ball was throw to where only Evans could jump and get it???? |
