Most people on here know I've done more draft study than anyone else on these boards. I have decided through roughly two hundred hours of DB watching that Teddy is one of three elite prospects in this draft, and the best choice for the Jags. My avatar reflects that.

You're SUPPOSED to kill it on your pro day.

 

I'm surprised the Brigade hasn't brought up that Teddy, with his incredible intelligence, has obviously tanked his pro day so that he'll be taken by New England or Seattle.

 

As I've said all along:  He'll be there at #3.  To hear the pundits say it, this is one of the better drafts of the century.  I'd chance trading back to get an extra 2nd or 3rd and give up the Teddy chase.

 

The absence of Teddy's biggest fan speaks volumes, btw.  Either that, or the lotion broke his keyboard.

 

He did have a meeting with the Vikings before his Pro Day  :whistling:

I said presnap. Manning was a better prospect overall, but not by a lot really. They are actually fairly similar other than the size. People are comping Teddy to Brady more and more, but it could be Peyton and not be too far off either.

Who other than me is from Kentucky? I don't know about them, but in my case I have said many times I am a Jags/Gator fan because my dad is from Jax (and is a UF alum) before moving here for a job w/ IBM. I hate both UL and UK strongly.

 

My coincidental proximity to where Teddy played has absolutely nothing to do with my evaluation of him. If anything it would make me like him less.

Well, I try to be an amateur draftnik and did some draft writing for a couple blogs last year, but I don't want to try to break into the real draftnik community like the up and comers I follow on twitter. Those guys put in essentially full time work, and make nothing to peanuts at best.

Mayock said that while most quarterbacks have good pro days because they are able to script the workout and are throwing in a controlled environment, Bridgewater's workout was "average at best." Mayock said he saw "a lot of flutters, a lot of inaccuracy."

Having watched this cutup like 4 times, I knew exactly which play you meant here right away. I certainly wouldn't call that a JFF yolo ball. It was just a well placed high point pass. The defenders had no chance of making a play on it. That's a big difference between JFF and Teddy. They both throw a fair amount of accurate high point passes, but Teddy's are safe ones like this where it was either TD Parker or an incompletion. JFF's high points are literally 50/50 balls to a usually well covered Evans that Evans wins because he's a friggin monster. In the NFL those mismatches won't be as extreme and the 50/50 balls JFF throws will be much more dangerous. 

 

However, these two famous plays are yolo plays. I don't give Teddy positive evaluation points for either of them (as I wouldn't for JFF), as they won't translate into success in the NFL.

Also how is the play Teddy made into double coverage any different than the play Manziel made to Evans towards the end of the Alabama game. Evans had his guy boxed out and the ball was throw to where only Evans could jump and get it????
