Bigsby motor was super interesting to watch on that break
He went gear 1 gear 2 and then Turbo in a instant (08-13-2023, 09:28 AM)Jaguar Warrior Wrote: Man I didn't even realize we had a game yesterday and I check this board at least once daily. That Rourke play was nuts. Team looking good, especially defense from the looks of it. There were some salty cowboys fans in comments saying stuff like " it's not even that hard, throwing a dart to a open reciever 20 yards away" LOL

He redeemed himself but still throwing ints is not good in the preseason especially. Teams are mostly facing vanilla defense. I do not disagree with the route mistake but but Lawrence was the one to pull the trigger. He should of thrown it out of bounds. It was a bad throw so stop making excuses for a bad decision. Those receivers did not throw that bail. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

There’s no way two receivers should be that close together. So you’re saying he should wait for a play to completely develop and not anticipate where his receivers are SUPPOSED to be. Got it. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/3816...highlights "Jaguars: Starting fast on offense was a priority this offseason and the addition of WR Calvin Ridley and the second season of Doug Pederson's offense were two reasons the team was optimistic. Jacksonville had a so-so start against the Cowboys, with Trevor Lawrence throwing an interception on the second offensive snap (there were two receivers in the area, so there might have been a miscommunication) and the Jags committing a holding penalty on the second possession, which began inside the 10-yard line. But after the team recovered a fumbled punt, the offense finally got rolling and scored on Lawrence's fourth-down pass to WR Christian Kirk. Pederson wanted the offense to operate cleanly and it took a while before that happened. -- Michael DiRocco" Damn writers making excuses... ![]() (08-14-2023, 07:55 AM)RicoTx Wrote:(08-14-2023, 02:07 AM)OG-JAGFAN Wrote: I do not disagree with the route mistake but but Lawrence was the one to pull the trigger. I am saying the QB should not have thrown that ball. Most experts worth their grain of salt will tell you that throwing the ball away and living another down is the better option than forcing it on the run between a few defenders. If you really think that Lawrence deserves no blame for that throw, we have nothing left to talk about. Got it. Actually he had Engram open - I'd say he should have thrown the ball - but he should have thrown it deeper. Initially - I thought he should have thrown it away when Ridley's route got cut off sending him high, but Trevor's instinct to go for Engram was right, he apparently just lost grip of the ball in his release enough to leave to short. Pederson addressed it in this AM's zoom press conf with beat writers. https://www.jaguars.com/video/pederson-y...nference-j (08-14-2023, 03:47 PM)OG-JAGFAN Wrote:(08-14-2023, 07:55 AM)RicoTx Wrote: So you’re saying he should wait for a play to completely develop and not anticipate where his receivers are SUPPOSED to be. Lawrence himself said it a bad pass/throw by him. So why not just leave it at that.

Obviously, the one throw slipped out of his hand and all that. I thought the way he rebounded and threw a nice touchdown pass to Christian [Kirk] and then the two-point conversion to Zay [Jones] I thought were great ways for our offense and for Trevor to finish their night.”

Way too much back and forth about one of the most meaningless INTs you'll ever see lol.

He threw 8 last year during the regular season and he ultimately overcame the INTs he threw against the Chargers at home. It's not how you start. It's how you finish. He responded by throwing a TD and basically another TD to redeem the mistake. So what, now what? ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? Just one of those weird decisions by Trev. Yolo it up in Preseason, learn and move on.
