I would love for Rourke to make the squad. Unfortunately I don't think the Jags feel they need better than CJ as a backup.

It's happened a couple of times.   I'm watching the local feed via NFL.com, and the sideline..non-game broadcast stuff has all been muted.   It's kinda weird.

I didn't think it would be happening on the local Jacksonville feed.    I thought it had something to do with the game being streamed.

It's normal CBS47 coverage. They always have issues. Appears anytime they go to a handheld camera the audio cuts out, no matter who is talking.

1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

I want to say something. Since it's the last preseason game. But, it sure has been nice seeing competent depth and well coached depth at that for a change around here in Jacksonville. I have been very impressed with what I have seen out of Pederson and his offensive staff this summer and especially Caldwell on defense. I was ready to throw him out the door last year as a first year DC. Granted, we still have a full 17 games to get through, etc. However, these guys are passing the eyeball test early and that's a tip your hat moment to the coaches here.

glad he put some good tape out there for when other teams put in their waiver claims. Still don't think he should make the roster, like I said he flashes and I can see why people like him, I just see an average player at best.

Agreed, I was ready to oust Caldwell for Wade Phillips or an experienced play caller. I'm glad that Doug has let the coaches grow into their roles. I really like how most of the staff has playing experience and can relate to the current team.
