How Big Of An Impact Will Justin Blackmon Have Sunday?

#21

Quote:Id say 4-6 rec for anywhere from 50 - 75 yards . Probably not a TD as his game is short to medium range and i doubt we get within 40 yards of the endzone with gabby .

I don't know about this.

That's a good pass rushing DL we're going against, and as bad as the OL has been this year, it's likely going to get worse with all of the shuffling going on this week.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

With Shorts going down with a broke groin.... double teams headed blackmons way...

I could see him making 4 grabs for about 23 yards (2, 9, 5, 7)

3rd and 9 he gets 2

3rd and 15 he gets 9

3rd and 3 he gets 5

3rd and 26 he gets 7.

If the " spawn of Gene " Blaine Gabbert is thowing him the ball the the answer is none .

I'm thinking our passing game takes a step forward this week.  Blaine now has two receivers he trusts.  If his return can do anything to eliminate the quick screen to Ace (a.k.a. the assured 3 yard loss) I will be ecstatic.

Instead of losing 31-3, we lose 31-6.

Meh,, it'll be about the same as last year. He'll have a good game or two, but he'll mostly have pedestrian numbers before garbage time.

He'll do better than this and so will the offense as a whole.

I laughed, then I sighed.

he'll break a couple ankles while adding YAC and draw a lot of attention.  sanders or shorts will benefit by having increased productivity.

With the oline shakeup it's hard to make any comments on how much Blackmon will help. If the line plays well he should loosen up the coverage on Shorts but that is one big IF!

I'd rather not mess with our chances of getting Bridgewater. I like your positive thinking but let's stick with the game plan.
