Burrow threw for 82 yards in the loss against the Browns, after signing for 275 million.

That first TD today was great work by Lawrence. Rolled out to buy time then hit Ridley with a laser.

That throw to Zay was elite tho. Zay did incredible work to get possession and all the necessary parts in bound but Lawrence placed it absolutely perfect. If Zay doesn't get it then no one does.

The Lawrence train is about to get crowded.

Bros, that play where he got hit and "fumbled" the ball???

[BLEEP] man, most QBs would be out for the game. Trevor got smashed, and he was still leading his team. Trevor Lawrence is a tough [BLEEP] son of a [BLEEP], man. He absorbed so much pain today and he still came back and lead this team to a double digit win in the NFL. A 10 point margin of victory, even against a "non-playoff" team is still a tough task. And Trevor Lawrence got it done.

The dude is amazing. I love watching him play. Oh, and those needles he threaded in the 1st half? ***Chef's Kiss***

The dude abides.

Trevor 24 of 32 - 75% comp. 241 yards -2 TD - 1 INT
Burrows 14 of 31 - 45% comp.  82 yards - 0 TD - 0 INT

Second have you actually polled everyone with eyes or are you just shooting from the hip?

..Wink

Haha yes. Trevor looked like Trevor today.
Burrow looked awful so I wonder what’s going on there

Joey B came back from injury too soon, didn't get any significant preseason time with the O, etc.

He'll be back in form in a few weeks, I'm sure, but that was a stinkeroo of epic proportion.

Look, I love Trevor, but that catch by Zay was the real deal. If he had dropped that, half the people on this board would be talking about how Trevor didn't put that ball in the right place. When you consider how close Zay was to the sidelines, how he held off that defender, and how he controlled the ball, it was just an amazing effort on his end. I think Trevor put that ball in play, but, imo, that was 80% on Zay. We aren't giving that man enough credit, imo.

That throw was BEAUTIFUL. I can’t find it but when it’s posted, someone add it here. Rolling to his left and hit Zay on a second window throw.

Here's the NFL.com link to it

My Man! Thank you.

I know we all love the throw to Zay for a TD (throw was perfect and the catch was amazing) but this throw to me stood out so much.

Rolling to his left, multiple defenders in his eye line, throws the ball with the perfect amount of touch and his Zay perfectly in stride. This throw is so tough to make and it makes it look so easy.

Trevor's throw and catch to Zay yesterday was similar to the throw and catch he hit Marvin with last year against Baltimore.

It was a great throw and one hell of a catch. The throw that still warps my mind is the absolute DART between two defenders that collided with each other that ended up in Ridley's hands somehow.

That's the throw I want to see again from snap to finish. Ridley was great yesterday and it's scary because he had two other opportunities to rack up yardage.

He slipped on a deep comeback route that would have been 15+ and then he was held on another play. Pretty cool though.

Lawrence was perfect yesterday. The pick was on Bigsby. The fumble was on bad pass blocking. This offense is going to be a nightmare when this line digs its head out of its [BLEEP] and plays more competently.

I think that pick was on the busted TE screen you pointed out in that other thread.
(not sure if you were looking at the TE when you suggested busted screen, but I think that's indeed what that was)

Anyway - Tank wasn't expecting the ball, the play design was for Strange, and Fortner's guy got by him so fast that Trevor got absolutely destroyed as he released the football.

Lots of stuff went into that pass being unexpected, off target, and tipped to a defender.
I'm personally not blaming anyone on that one unless you want to blame three OL players not executing the blocks required to pull off the screen and Strange for getting tripped up.

Just a disastrously busted play. Also one of those "Triple Lindy" high degree of difficulty plays to pull off. Two new faces on the line and a rookie TE as the target didn't help there.

This opinion seems to be gaining lots of steam from the nat'l pundits.

That 2nd one is insane. That's the one I was looking for. Holy [BLEEP]. So, he rolled to his right, had a defender barreling down on him, and had to thread that between two defenders. There's not very many QB's that can do that.

Mahomes, maybe. Allen, maybe. Not sure I have seen Burrow do that. Herbert I think has for sure. They all have unique throws like this but I cannot recall seeing an absolute laser of a pass between two defenders like that. That's Favre like. Elway like.

His overall anticipation and trust with his receivers and throwing ability are disgustingly good as well. That's not the first time he's done that. This guy knows where he wants to go well before his receiver is even remotely close to looking back for it. Again, just certain things you cannot teach. That TD to Zay is a prime example. Watch him set his feet, and drop his hips there to uncork that throw.

Zay's still about 10 - 15 yards shy from being in the endzone there when that ball is out.

Trevor Lawrence and Zay Jones are on one.

That play formation was trash.  But the execution was 100%

If this is the Press Taylor offense, we're about look like the Bengals.  Just accept that.  The reason we are elite is because we have a genius offensive mind.  But if our HC decides to try and get some shine on his deficient OC, we're gonna be in trouble.

*Our play designs are great - the offense/playbook hasn't changed from last year - just a few wrinkles sprinkled in
*Our OC is very capable
*Our HC is allowing him to do some playcalling under his tutelage - just like he did last year on many of our wins
* Aside from 2 or 3 head scratching calls yesterday - our offensive issues were rooted in poor execution - not Press Taylor

You are reaching to blame some sloppy play on Press Taylor while simultaneously ignoring that we put up 31 points with he and Pederson directing the offense.

I bet that by week 4 or 5 you will have forgotten that you thought you didn't like Press Taylor
Doug Pederson has a firm grip on the reins here - I'm not worried about the play calling at all

Yeah. I didn't realize Allen was a [BLEEP] turnover machine. They pointed out that, while he's scored the most TD's over 5 years than anybody else in NFL history, he's also turned it over more than anybody else in the same exact timespan. The amount of YOLO balls he threw up last night were just stupid.

He's the Merrill Hess of the NFL from Signs. He takes "Swing away" literally.
