I tried before but have been having an issue with the tunein radio app lately. I used to get wokv in no problem on tunein when they had those weekly Jags shows,

I don't think 1010XL is landing the Jaguars.  I'm pretty sure the Jags extended the deal with WOKV last year for another 3 years.

WOKV's FM footprint on 104.5 is significantly larger than what WJXL is

pushing day or night. They're pumping out 98,800 watts 24/7 off the FM signal.  You can hear them from Brunswick to Daytona.

WOKV has the largest footprint of any station in the city.  Their daytime lineup is irrelevant.  They are a blow torch that broadcasts up into Georgia, and south to nearly Daytona.  They've also got a bank roll that's significantly larger than just about any other station in town as a member of the Cox Media family.  If 1010XL were to land the broadcast rights as the flagship for the radio network, I would consider that a downgrade.

 

Example I get WOKV clear as day in Daytona and half way down I-4 close to Deltona, I can't even get 1010XL when I'm in north Palm Coast close to St. Augustine.

the only Jacksonville stations I get in Flagler county are WOKV, 102.9 (sometimes it even goes in and out), 95.1, 99.1 and the rest are pretty spotty. I NEVER get 1010XL. Hoping when we move over to Putnam county we can pick up a couple more Jax broadcast and less of Orlando (yuck!)

Really they already were the only station that consistently talks about the Jaguars on a daily basis already.  The local guy on 930 doesn't even count. 

He Is Terrible. I tune in once a week during high school season to hear a local (county) writer talk about Clay County football. That is it, and that in itself is a chore because Modica is awful. He is clueless about sports in general overall.

1010xl starts going wonky once you past 295 heading out on 10...there is no way they are pumping out as strong as WOKV

I don't know the exact range, but I can still pick up 1010 in Madison County, which is 45 mins outside of Tallahassee. Tallahassee is about 190 miles from Jacksonville.

That's odd...I start getting staticky a little past Chaffee.

As far as TuneIn, most of the time all I hear is Jack O'Brien saying that this is the alternate channel...

Lol I get frustrated with frangie as well. I'm like just say it! In regards to Ballou I go back and forth. Dempsey probably my favorite and honestly, I enjoy Prosser and Hickens show even though Prosser is an annoying gator homer.

Frangie is the one that is hardest to enjoy for me as well. I have always liked Ballou, he'd be a great guy just to hang out with and watch some games with. Dempsey is very knowledgeable, and very well spoken. I have liked "SFR", now "The Drill" (I know they had to change the name, but still not a fan of the choice). Robo Tiger is one of my favorites.

 

I don't mind XL Primetime either. I like that I can listen to local sports radio all day. Don't want or need national personally.
