Yahoo Sports Mock Draft (interesting comments re: Jags)

Not that I agree with their selections for the Jags, but the comments are interesting.  It's nice to see "national" sports media give us some respect - for those that are into that type of thing.

Bridgewater mocked to us in 1st round:

"This is a nice fit for a team that is going to surprise people next season"

Ohio State OT Jake Mewhort mocked to us in the 2nd round:

"Big, strapping, feisty right tackle to help anchor the run game and fit right in on this ascending team"

Go Jags!

Ok although we need a center more than another tackle and we could use a pass rusher.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

I don't see us passing on Shazier or him slipping to 55

Personally..Clowney or Mack and "settle" for a Carr, Mettenberger, McCarron.

There wont be many Clowneys or Macks later, but the top 3 projected QBs are still no sure thing they'll be a "franchise" QB in a couple years vs the others.

Maybe I'm wrong. Just not sold on Teddy or Bortles. Manziel? Probably not, but will generate excitement and can fill the same role as they do in SF and Seattle, and with a top D, can achieve same results.

Kind words are nice - nut the Jags won't take an OT unless they plan to use him at guard.

I thought the same way at first, but with 11 picks I can see grabbing 1 later on maybe 4-5th round

I guess I should have specified when...  The guy mentiond in the OP -  Mewhort -  is a projected 2nd rounder.  Taking a tackle after the 3rd is certainly more of a possibility than it is early on.

Pasztor has played guard in the past, and probably could do so again in the future if the Jags draft a prospect at OT who's capable of being a better OT than Pasztor. I'm not saying it's going to happen, just saying that drafting a pure RT in an early round wouldn't be a huge shock.
