This is on Trevor if you think that the OC's philosophy and play calling means nothing.
All through the pre-season our OC focused on getting the ball to Ridley. All pre-season, it was our OC that wanted to ensure ETN would be a bell cow RB. All through the pre-season it was our OC that wanted to make sure that Kirk, Zay Jones, and Engram were not the focus. We were designed to be a running team that will focus on our #1 WR when needed. And when the [BLEEP] hit the fan, our OC has no clue how to adjust. (09-24-2023, 03:24 PM)JagsFanSince95 Wrote:(09-24-2023, 03:21 PM)SamusAranX Wrote: Nothing like the Trevor I saw last year. We might be watching a future elite NFL qb today….

if I was ETN I'd pretend to be hurt and then try and get the hell out of this franchise. They are running him to death.
Screw this franchise, go and make real money. ETN is a great back and we wasted him. He's a Darren Sproles type RB and we're running him like he's Roger Craig Dude, this O-Line, man... Let's just move them to london and not worry about them anymore. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Almost like having a great RB doesn't do [BLEEP] for your team overall. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

Trevor’s not the problem … it’s the damn team … 2 false starts from a single receiver ? Penalties negating drives and putting us behind the sticks. Multiple drops. Fumble inside the 20… Putrid protection again .. and he still manages to complete what like 70 percent of his passes? Sure he probably could have hit other receivers on some plays and he had the pick but overall he was fine… the team is a dumpster fire in all other areas and it falls on coaching and accountability from our veterans especially on defense with multiple busts in coverage and no pressure, embarrassing special teams, and an offense that can’t get out of its own way and seems like it wants to do anything but play to our strength on early downs and have to go on 10-12 play drives every time we touch the ball… which as it stands is a recipe for disaster because in 10-12 plays we will commit some stupid penalty drop or breakdown in protection somewhere every drive .

Not THE problem but he’s definitely missing guys and feeling the pressure. The offense in general is not anywhere where they should be. Largely this on the OL but it’s an issue with that whole side of the ball.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Oh joy, it's going to be one of those weeks.
Well get your hot takes off your chest, just don't get all upset later this year when they get thrown back at you.
No line protection for sure. Trevor missed some throws and there was drops. Commentator even mentioned he missed open guys they even showed some replays but maybe hes getting gun shy from the protection idk. I just know Stroud looked much better today.
No Fun

Every QB has misses but the most frustrating part was he missed wide open guys and did not even bother to look their way.... Lawrence has to be consistent if he is going to be a top QB. The Oline struggles have had so many knock on effects. The coaches aren't calling what they want as they don't have the time for deep plays to develop so everything is short which makes us easy to play against. Lawrence is expecting pressure or to be hit every play as he's basically getting hit every play. Any QB will start rushing reads or rushing passes in that scenario. It's on the coaches to find a way to get this Oline to be able to do something. They aren't suddenly going to be a top unit but a way to help them be it rollouts, screens, draws. Just something that helps them start winning and giving us a chance to get the O going. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

I mean my goodness … on tank dells two deep balls they were complete busts ! No safety in the middle of the field corner outside leverage so he can just run a skinny post and completely get behind the defense ? Are we serious? And the TD what the heck have we never played a bunch set before ? Multiple other receivers with no one in the vicinity and 0 pressure on a Backup o line ? Watch stroud will end up looking like every other rookie QB for most of the rest of the year …. We just managed to make a game so easy for a rookie it looked like he was playing against Rutgers when he was at Ohio state… Pathetic . Heads need to roll for this . At least figure out who wants to man up and do their fricking jobs . What these grown men are getting paid to sticking do . |
