2014 NFL Fan Draft - Your Team is on the Clock!

#21

Quote:Had a feeling the thread was going to be moved to a sub-forum where it would struggle to get more votes...ehh

Anyways, Keep the voting up!! It looks like it is going to be a close finish! I don't plan on closing the voting until later in the evening, so there is still time to contribute!

Sorry your draft thread was moved to the draft forum

I understand the reasoning and don't have room to complain. It's jsut dissapointing as most of these subforums don't receive as much attention as the main team forum. But it was wrong for me to assume in the first place that my thread should transcend the rules that are already set in place.

Start a thread in this forum about Teddy Bridgewater. It'll be 8 pages in an hour.

I picked Watkins but I wouldn't be disappointed in the least with Mack.

Same here, I would be ok if Dave took either of them

I'm a little concerned with Watkins. He's not that tall and ... he's smoked weed! :o

I'm a little concerned about the Jags using a top 3 pick on a position that will only be meaningfully involved in 7-10 plays a game.

You need to use a top three pick on a more important position group, especially when this is one of the deepest WR drafts ever.

I understand your point here but IMO the gap between Watkins and the other receivers is large. I believe that Watkins is going to be one of the elite in a couple years, Julio Jones, AJ Green type of kid. While I understand we could get a guy(s) later, I think that the possible combo of Watkins and Blackmon is very exciting. We can also look at this another way, We need  a legit receiver that scares defenses. Cecil Shorts is just a guy, he is ok but really just another body. If we take Sammy then it would allow us to not be concerned with the Blackmon issue, so he would be a luxury for us when he plays.

I love the possibility of JB and Sammy on the same team with Ace/Mike in the slot...and if cecil can stay healthy maybe him.

I also thing Jordan Mathews from Vandy is gonna be special as well. Kid just gets it done and he is used to not having a qb so he would fit here.

As good as AJ Green is, do you think if given the chance the Bengals would take Patrick Peterson, Aldon Smith or JJ Watt instead?
