I can't. Vikings are 0 - 3. I know that's not all on him but he falls flat under bright lights and he forced a throw to Hockenson against the Chargers that cost them the game.

3 - 0. Close to 68% completion percentage. They're able to overcome most turnovers. He showed that against the Vikings and played well against the Buccaneers the other night.

Yes and no. He isn't terrible, but he is also not playing very well. What I see on the film isn't exactly what I would call "cook" tier. He's definitely doing some good things but overall body of work is pretty mid. Remember, if we are to take this QB as a top tier, elite level QB this is the standard I am grading off of. He is not playing well if you consider him a top 5 QB in this league, he just isn't.

This sounds like a sloppy, undisciplined team.

I don't have the prescription for a magical cure-all tonic that will fix these woes. They are gonna have to put in work and hold each other accountable. We know that much of this team is the same as last year, so yeah, I'm confident that the ship can be righted. But they gotta get their heads outta their butts or the newspapers, whichever is leading them astray.

Hutch is playing well, but TFL's often get overlooked and Travon has 4 plus the 1 sack for a total of 5 negative yardage plays.  Hutch has 2 sacks and 1 TFL as well as a FF.  Yes the sacks mean the QB got hit/tackled which can add up over the course of the game to help rattle the opposing QB/offense and sacking the QB is exciting, but the net result of a sack and TFL is the same. And yes I would take Hutch's stat line to date over Travon's even considering the TFL difference, but Travon is not necessarily playing poorly.  He does need to start getting to the QB, however.  I'm willing to give him to the halfway point before seriously questioning the pick considering his circumstances and athleticism.  He is very likely not yet who he is going to be a year or two from now.

Another fun stat, Walker has 4 QB hurries this season. Hutch has TEN, and with little help around him. Walker had no control over where he got picked, but the thinking that someone capable of being the first pick of the darft needed two full seasons to show his potential is crazy talk. I have a feeling the team is cursed to have no pass rush, we could pick an LT in his prime and have him end the year with 5 sacks.

Fire Baalke in the off season. If this team continues to slip in trench play. There's no excuses.

Addressed OT, twice, in RD1 and RD7. Added guys like Wells in the market that physically are done for the year. Completely neglected the interior.

Then, you take a TE, RB, ILB and big DE that was not known for rushing the QB in college without addressing legitimate needs still being there for both lines.

Strange, Bigsby, Miller on IR and Lacy have done relatively nothing in 3 weeks already.

I would look at guys like Adam Peters under John Lynch or Brandt Tilis from Kansas City under Mike Borgonzi.

He also whiffed on a wide open Zay as well, 3 stinkers in the red area. I have no bias against the guy, he is a good QB...  BUT, if you can sit here with a straight face and say Trevor is playing elite/top 5 QB football... We aren't looking at the same QB.

I think he is a top 5 QB but he may not be playing like one.

Burrow and Allen certainly aren't playing like top 5 QBs but I also think they are (overall) top 5 QBs.

Cousins and Goff aren't top 5 QBs but they are playing like one in these first 3 weeks.

Everything will work itself out as long as these receivers start catching these balls. Ridley makes the TD catch and I bet the Jags win that game 24-17.

It's 3 weeks into the season and if you want to make broad generalizations about a whole season after 3 weeks, go right ahead.

Your point makes plenty of sense when you get to say catchable touchdown throws weren't catchable. They were, so that totally blows your point, but I do understand where you're coming from.

And to be honest, 6 through 10, given our talent and franchise history is an amazing thing to be for Lawrence.  

Besides that TD catch by Zay against the clots in the corner of the End Zone, these receivers have not been doing Trevor Lawrence or this team any favors.  Lawrence is putting the ball where it needs to be most of the time.  Yeah, his head clock is wound a bit fast and he's missed a few open recievers because he locked onto his first read, but even when he did lock on, he's mostly been on time and accurate and it was the receiver that messed up the play.

I don't want to harp on what the coaching was doing in the summer.  But it just seems odd how everything looked and sounded so great in July and August, and then when "the bullets became live" we've basically pooped the bed.  Some say it's the player's fault.  Some same the coaches didn't properly prepare the players...  

Either way, the one player that should not be under scrutiny is #16.  And anyone that is trying to blame him doesn't understand the game.  While yes, the most important piece of any team is the QB.  If the QB doesn't get help, the whole thing breaks down.  At this point, Trevor Lawrence isn't getting any help.

I'm not here to argue with anyone... So I'm just going to say this and let it go...

But Engram was getting targets last year out in space while running crosser routs.

This year is only 3 games... So maybe things will change...

But...

Engram's targets this year have been behind the 10 Yard Marker almost every time. And what's worse, they are putting Engram on bubble screen targets with trips formation at least 5 times this year. Engram is a baller. You don't grind a baller. You let them get out in open space.

But again, it's only week 3... So maybe things will change... But to this point, Engram isn't being used like he was last year. And last year, he was killing it. I'm not sure why you change up what's working... But we have changed up what Engram was doing. I mean, you can't argue against that....

With that said, I'm not here to argue. I just think that certain things feel off... But let's see what happens in London.
