Tandon Doss

A couple of interesting comments from someone who claims to be edumacated on this stuff.

This is by far the worst signing by Caldwell yet.

I don’t care if we got him for the price of a skittles bag its too much. He is the worst WR I have ever scouted. He can’t run clean routes his hands are very bad. I dont know what kinda film Caldwell must have seen to sign this guy but come on man! The practice reps can be used on someone much better, basically anyone else….. Didn’t we just draft Ace/Robinson to be our punt returner/kick returner. Complete waist of money, time, coaching and a camp roster spot. But I hope he proves me wrong.

I coach for the Baltimore Mariners we are an arena football team.

We often scout players on the Ravens so after they are cut we know who there are and if we should go after them or not.

Lets just say Doss is a not!

Good point.  A single misspelling completely undermines his argument.

I know adults who sometimes forget the apostrophe for it's.....very few adults misuse waist/ waste.

Big receiver with big play potential, even if it's only in the return game.

Are these the same adults who forget apostrophes while making petty grammar critiques?

Quote:Weren't you talking about how we have too many short WRs and needed a 6'2" plus guy like last week. Now we should have signed 5'5" 170lb Trindon Holiday rather than 6'2" 220lb Tandon Doss?
lol

2 different positions WR and return specialist.

If the idea is just to improve the return game, then Holiday would be the better add. If its WR that we are focusing on then obviously Doss is the choice.

So, uhh, sorry there, hoss....swing & a miss.

I said it before and I'll say it again. Ace was our best player on offense last season. At the moment our production looks like it'll be Gerhart > Ace > Shorts > Lewis > Todman/Denard > Blackmon. Ace is important to cog to our offense. We need him fresh and healthy, let someone else return punts. If Doss can add to our offense too then even better, and given Blackmon/Shorts' history it is possible

Its not just about "keeping Ace healthy".....Ace pretty much sucked at returning punts last year.

Either would take up a spot on the WR depth chart. Anyway, we seem to be in agreement about the Doss signing so, whatever.

I love it that people react to some signings, that it is another move for an instant starter. This move is not for a starting role, but to make this team even faster. It is a smart move, because we have another player to return punts, and not to depend on Ace solely. It seems more and more that the real offensive weapon on this team is Ace, while Denard has to: "learn to hold the rock". If he does, then we have two athletes that could work really well within our system. Oh yea - and Doss is another player that has a ring. May mean nothing, but hey, sometimes people can take nothing and turn it into something.

he wasn't that bad, seemed like he had to call for fair catch quite a bit, could've really pushed up his average per return if that one return for TD wasn't called back erroneously

in comparison, Sproles and Patrick Peterson weren't much better last year

Meh to me its kinda a waste.  Doubt Doss will do anythig here.  Came cheap though.
